Want to be seated next to the person you are traveling with? Select the seat of your choice when you book your flight. ## Choose your seat in advance Enjoy maximum comfort by selecting your standard seat in the Economy cabin, your premium seat in the Premium cabin, or your business seat in the Business cabin as soon as you book. This paid service is available from the time of booking until check-in, which begins 30 hours before departure. Passengers traveling with a Light fare ticket in the Economy cabin may only select paid seats until check-in closes. In the La Première cabin, you can select your seat free of charge as soon as you book and at any time until check-in closes, subject to availability. In the Economy, Premium, and Business cabins, if you do not select your seat in advance, a seat is automatically allocated to you when you check in online 30 hours before departure. Depending on availability, you can change your seat free of charge, unless you are traveling with a Light fare ticket in the Economy cabin. ## The price? This rate will vary according to your destination, travel dates, and fare selection. You can pay for this service using your Flying Blue Miles or Blue Credits. ## Complimentary Standard, Premium and Business seat selection At any time, regardless of destination, selecting a Standard seat in the Economy cabin, a Premium seat in the Premium cabin, or a Business seat in the Business cabin is free for: Selection of a Standard, Premium, or Business seat is free of charge for passengers who have purchased a Standard fare ticket on flights departing from the United States, Canada, Mexico, or Papeete to Europe. \*If this service is not free of charge during booking, please select your seat directly in[My Bookings.](https://wwws.airfrance.us/trip)\*\*The service is free of charge only for transatlantic flights. ## How to purchase this service Book your standard, premium, or business seat with ease. We will do everything we can to make sure you can travel together and sit next to each other. To make this possible, all of your family members must be included in the same booking file. Your seat location is indicated on your boarding passes, provided during online check-in or at the airport. However, if you would like specific seats, you can choose the seats you prefer in advance. Please note if you are a family traveling with a child under the age of 2, you can not purchase a Standard, Premium or Business seat online.
