According to computer expert Yaffet Meshesha, the easiest way to download YouTube videos is to use a YouTube download website. Open Google in your web browser and
search
"YouTube download site." You should see a variety of YouTube download sites.
[5]
Since video download sites operate in a legal grey area, they are often targeted by copyright claims. The sites that are available may change.
Some current websites you can use include,
Media Mister
,
Publer.io
, and
yt5s.is
Warning:
Many free websites contain intrusive ads and downloads to adware and malware. Some may even try to trick you by disguising themselves as legitimate buttons. If you accidentally download anything other than the video in the file you selected, do not open it.
Most download sites have a bar in the middle of the screen. Tap and hold the bar and then tap
Paste
to paste the link to the YouTube video you want to download.
It's usually to the right of the bar where paste the link to the video. The button may look different depending on the website you use.
Many YouTube download sites allow you to select the resolution and file format you want to download. MP4 is the most common video file format. You may be able to select another file format or an audio-only file format. You may also be able to select the resolution of the video you want to download. Higher resolutions (i.e. 1080p) will have better quality, but take up more space on your device.
Once you select the file format and resolution, tap the
Download
button. The video should be downloaded to the Videos folder or in your Gallery. You can open the Videos folder using the Files or My Files app on your Android device.

According to computer expert Yaffet Meshesha, the easiest way to download YouTube videos is to use a YouTube download website. Open Google in your web browser and [search](https://www.wikihow.com/Search-Google "Search Google") "YouTube download site." You should see a variety of YouTube download sites.[\[5\]](https://www.wikihow.com/Download-YouTube-Videos-on-Android#_note-5)
- Since video download sites operate in a legal grey area, they are often targeted by copyright claims. The sites that are available may change.
- Some current websites you can use include, [Media Mister](https://www.mediamister.com/youtube-video-downloader), [Publer.io](https://publer.com/tools/youtube-video-downloader), and [yt5s.is](https://yt5s.is/)
- **Warning:** Many free websites contain intrusive ads and downloads to adware and malware. Some may even try to trick you by disguising themselves as legitimate buttons. If you accidentally download anything other than the video in the file you selected, do not open it.
5. [](https://www.wikihow.com/Download-YouTube-Videos-on-Android#/Image:Download-YouTube-Videos-on-Android-Step-15-Version-3.jpg)
Most download sites have a bar in the middle of the screen. Tap and hold the bar and then tap **Paste** to paste the link to the YouTube video you want to download.
6. [](https://www.wikihow.com/Download-YouTube-Videos-on-Android#/Image:Download-YouTube-Videos-on-Android-Step-16-Version-3.jpg)
