When officers arrived, they found a 21-year-old man with a serious gunshot wound. He later died at a nearby hospital.\nInvestigators report the victim was shot while in his vehicle in the parking lot of the Stop-N-Go in the 2200 block off Charles Street.\nDetectives with the Rockford Police Department’s gang unit identified Crawford and Shackleford as suspects. Ladavion Crawford, 18, and Madison Shackleford, 20, both of Rockford, each face a charge of first degree murder following a deadly shooting on Sept. 7. (Winnebago County Sheriff's Office) Police say around 11 p.m. Sept. 7, officers were called to the area of Charles and 11th streets for a shooting . When officers arrived, they found a 21-year-old man with a serious gunshot wound. He later died at a nearby hospital. Investigators report the victim was shot while in his vehicle in the parking lot of the Stop-N-Go in the 2200 block off Charles Street. Detectives with the Rockford Police Department’s gang unit identified Crawford and Shackleford as suspects. The two were later arrested and taken to the Winnebago County jail. When officers arrived, they found a 21-year-old man with a serious gunshot wound. He later died at a nearby hospital. Investigators report the victim was shot while in his vehicle in the parking lot of the Stop-N-Go in the 2200 block off Charles Street. Detectives with the Rockford Police Department’s gang unit identified Crawford and Shackleford as suspects. The two were later arrested and taken to the Winnebago County jail.
