The abundance of local parks and trails makes it easy to escape the bustle of the city without ever having to leave the city. Spot native wildlife from the wooden boardwalks at Mercer Slough Nature Park ; see Bellevue bloom into Spring at the Botanical Garden ; or simply get lost in the moment while winding along trails through the forested wilderness of Weowna Park . For a steeper trek, head east on I-90 to the Cascade Mountains where you will find countless trails leading to lakes, peaks, creeks, and waterfalls all within a short drive of Bellevue. Some of the most popular hikes in the area include Twin Falls , Rattlesnake Ledge , Mailbox Peak , Mount Si , and Poo Poo Point . Interested in learning more about native wildlife?
