Use to see people fishing at Sembawang, near to Straits of Johore and also at [Changi](https:\/\/www.tripadvisor.ca\/Tourism-g294265-Singapore-Vacations.html) Point or beach. But you have to bring your own rod. Changi Village has a few shops selling fishing rods and it is also more accessible by public transport. The \"village\" has a hawker centre plus cafe and pubs. It is more happening. Fishing at piers in Singapore is not easily accessible.\n\nWhat is popular is prawn fishing at farms or facility. Some popular places to fish are like Kranji Dam and Bedok Jetty.\n\nAs above post have mentioned, you can consider indoor fishing which has rods provided and mostly are prawning farms. Boilerpipe Text	There are fishing ponds in the rural zone of Singapore . One is called Auntie's Pond, which opens 8am to 11.30pm daily. Rate is S$60 per 3 hours per rod. I am not sure if rod rental is provided as anglers usually bring their own. Perhaps, you can message the pond operator on Facebook. Refer to this: https://m.facebook.com/paypondfishing/?ref=page_internal There are fishing boats for hire. A day trip (8am to 5pm) to southern straits or northeastern straits goes for about S$500 inclusive of 1kg of live prawns. Most boatmen do not provide fishing rods, as far as I recall. Anyway, these boats are very popular with locals and reservations need to be made at least 2 months in advance for peak tide dates.

Use to see people fishing at Sembawang, near to Straits of Johore and also at [Changi](https://www.tripadvisor.ca/Tourism-g294265-Singapore-Vacations.html) Point or beach. But you have to bring your own rod. Changi Village has a few shops selling fishing rods and it is also more accessible by public transport. The "village" has a hawker centre plus cafe and pubs. It is more happening. Fishing at piers in Singapore is not easily accessible. What is popular is prawn fishing at farms or facility. You can find more information online about Prawning at ORTO. Re: Fishing in Singapore 9 years ago Save I think it is not possible to find fishing rod rental in [Singapore](https://www.tripadvisor.ca/Tourism-g294265-Singapore-Vacations.html) for outdoor fishing, folks usually bring their own rods and baits. Some popular places to fish are like Kranji Dam and Bedok Jetty. As above post have mentioned, you can consider indoor fishing which has rods provided and mostly are prawning farms. One is called Auntie's Pond, which opens 8am to 11.30pm daily. Rate is S\$60 per 3 hours per rod. I am not sure if rod rental is provided as anglers usually bring their own. Perhaps, you can message the pond operator on Facebook. Anyway, these boats are very popular with locals and reservations need to be made at least 2 months in advance for peak tide dates.
