Le Metropolitan
Located in the bustling Place de Mexico and conveniently
within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower
, the Le Metropolitan is an
upscale hotel
with excellent service, modern rooms, and one of the few in the area with an
indoor pool and steam room.
The rooms are
especially beautiful
with large windows opening to
spectacular views of Paris
. The best rooms are the higher floor rooms that have windows directly facing the Eiffel Tower.
In case youâre wondering, the one with the
Oval Window is called the Eiffel Suite
and is located on the top floor. The rooms below this are called
Eiffel View Suites
- they donât have oval windows, but they do have
open-air balconies
that face the Eiffel Tower.
Best For: View of the Eiffel Tower
Hotel Splendid Etoile
For one of the
most unique views of the Arc de Triomphe
from your hotel room balcony, the Hotel Splendid Etoile offers several different rooms with this amazing view.
You can pick from a room that
directly faces the Arc de Triomphe
or several that have a view from the side. Both types are fantastic and will leave quite an impression on you!
To make sure you get a room with an Arc de Triomphe view,
pick the âPrivilege Room with Viewâ.
You can also get a view with the âSuperior Double Room with Balconyâ, but double-check with the hotel prior to booking that the balcony has a view of the Arc de Triomphe. Also,
try to get a higher floor
(3-5) to get the best view.
You can get breakfast sent to your room so you can start the day facing the beautiful Arc de Triomphe.
I found myself hanging out on the balcony for much of the day
and just absorbing in the magnificent view!
Best for: The View
Hotel Norman
Hotel Norman is a new boutique hotel with a cozy, intimate feel with a nod to the 1950âs and 1960âs of American modernism and Bauhaus influences.Â
The rooms evoke warmth with rosewood bed headboards, weathered leather, and vintage green colors. On top of that, the furnishings are luxurious yet tempered - youâll feel right at home here.
Some of the best rooms include the two-story Sky Suite which has a beautiful sunrise view over Paris, and the Terrace Suite, which has a rooftop terrace. Both have stunning Eiffel Tower views from their balconies.
Also, the French donât mess around when it comes to food and their incredible breakfast buffet shows their dedication to the craft!
Maison Mere
Situated in one of our
favorite areas of Paris
(the 9th Arrondissement), Maison Mere is also lucky enough to be on a
quiet pedestrian street
so you donât get the typical street noise while staying here.
We loved all the
stylish design touches
throughout the public areas of the hotel and inside the room. There was
delicious, hot tea
for guests in the lobby area - perfect for when we visited during the winter holidays!
Rooms were very comfortable
with rain showers, honey based soap/shampoo, and an
excellent view of the Parisian streets
from the big windows.
Breakfast was one of our favorites
with a large spread of fresh bread, cheese, fruit, jam, desserts, yogurt, and freshly made eggs and bacon. The breakfast attendant was especially cheery and friendly -
we loved the service here!
Best For: Location and Value
Hotel Panache
Located in the up-and-coming Faubourg Montmartre district in the 9th arrondissement, Hotel Panache is in the
perfect central location
to explore much of Paris on foot or by metro. Itâs also one of the best arrondissements to stay in Paris!
The hotel itself is
playfully decorated
with fun and stylish vintage elements such as Bauhaus light switches, vintage telephones, and Art Nouveau bedframes.
The enthusiastic staff is very helpful and speak many different languages, making it very
friendly for international visitors
staying here.
All the rooms here are unique in their own way, but if youâre lucky youâll get one of the rooms on the corner with
outdoor balconies
facing the famous Parisian rooftops of the neighborhood.
Best for: Location and Value
Saint James
Saint James Paris recently underwent a major redesign and emerged with a
bright new look
with designer Laura Gonzalez in charge.
The rooms were
upgraded with snazzy new flower print wallpapers
with colorful and artistic furniture to match. More windows and space were added to each room by removing a number of rooms.
The
steam room and pool area
are a special highlight since they are especially large and feel sparkling new.
The Library Bar
is very unique, as the hotel used to be a university. The original library (complete with antique books) is a
great place to grab an afternoon drink or nighttime cocktail.
On nice days, the
back garden area has a lovely covered gazebo
that is worth visiting. Itâll make you feel like you have your own private chateau!
Best for: Luxury, Relaxing Stays
Hotel du Petit Moulin
Perfectly located in the
trendy Haut-Marais
, the Hotel du Petit Moulin is a small boutique hotel with
individually designed rooms
by Christian Lacroix.
Youâll really be in the
middle of the action
with plenty of
interesting shops
right on the same street along with all sorts of delicious restaurants to pick from.
Each room is a visual feast
with bold color patterns, swirling motifs,
striped wallpapers
, golden light fixtures, and fancy floor mirrors.
The small breakfast room, serving a nice French breakfast, turns into a
guests-only bar
Thursday through Saturday.
Best for: Location and Value
Shangri-La Paris
Previously the
mansion of Prince Roland Bonaparte
, great-nephew of Napoleon, the Shangri-La Paris is one of the
most beautiful and famous luxury hotels
in Paris.
The
Eiffel Tower is just across the river
and is visible from many of the rooms. Itâll look so close that you might feel like you can just reach out and
touch the Eiffel Tower
from your balcony room!
The famous Chi spa is a major standout with its
striking pool
and world-class massage therapy program.
Itâs also a total treat to dine in the
outdoor terrace
of the hotel restaurant since youâll have a
serene garden facing the Eiffel Tower
as your backdrop.
Make sure to have
breakfast served to you in the room
, so you can have a croissant and coffee while basking in the views of the Eiffel Tower.
Best for: Luxury Stays
Chateau Frontenac
Just
one block from the dazzling Champs Elysee
and
walking distance
to many of the other main attractions in Paris, the Chateau Frontenac is a
great value for its location and balcony rooms.
Our room had a
nice view of the Parisian rooftops
along with a
direct line of sight to the Eiffel Tower.
Even though we had a room facing the street,
we didnât hear much street noise
, which is a bonus since Iâm a light sleeper!
Best for: Location and Value
Hotel Les Deux Gares
Youâll feel like youâve
stepped into a Wes Anderson movie
once youâve entered the Hotel Les Deux Gares with its
brightly colored walls
, black and white tiled floorboards, and
tastefully designed rooms.
Located a
five-minute walk from Gare du Nord
, this is a great location for those using the train station and willing to base themselves in an
unconventional spot to explore Paris.
Rooms come in
beautiful color combinations
such as
dusky pink and green
while the bathrooms are colored in
vintage pastel colors.
Youâll want to check out the
Café les Deux Gares
which is run by the same team and is full of
French train paraphernalia.
Overall, this is one of the
best values in Paris
with rooms running around $125 a night.
Best for: Location and Value
Paris Perfect
If you want to stay in a
fully furnished apartment
rather than a hotel room, Paris Perfect is a great choice since they have a
large selection of places all over Paris
- many with
wonderful views
of landmarks such as the
Eiffel Tower
.
Each apartment is outfitted with beautiful decorations
sourced from Paris flea markets
, comfortable bedding, and a fully stocked kitchen.
Some of the units are quite large, so they are a great option for
groups of friends or a family
traveling together.
For one of the
best views of the Eiffel Tower
, we recommend the
Margaux
- which can house around 6-8 people comfortably. One of our favorite things about this unit is the incredible top floor
wraparound balcony that has views of the Eiffel Tower.
Youâll also have great views of the famous Parisian rooftops.
Another option, for a
great central location
, you canât beat the Place Dauphine units. They are located on the
Ăle de la CitĂ© island on the Seine
. We loved the
SavenniĂšres
- which is great for 1-2 people and has a
beautiful balcony terrace
overlooking the Place Dauphine park below.

Le Metropolitan

Located in the bustling Place de Mexico and conveniently **within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower**, the Le Metropolitan is an **upscale hotel** with excellent service, modern rooms, and one of the few in the area with an **indoor pool and steam room.**
The rooms are **especially beautiful** with large windows opening to **spectacular views of Paris**. The best rooms are the higher floor rooms that have windows directly facing the Eiffel Tower.
In case youâre wondering, the one with the **Oval Window is called the Eiffel Suite** and is located on the top floor. The rooms below this are called **Eiffel View Suites** - they donât have oval windows, but they do have **open-air balconies** that face the Eiffel Tower.
**Best For: View of the Eiffel Tower**
Hotel Splendid Etoile

For one of the **most unique views of the Arc de Triomphe** from your hotel room balcony, the Hotel Splendid Etoile offers several different rooms with this amazing view.
You can pick from a room that **directly faces the Arc de Triomphe** or several that have a view from the side. Both types are fantastic and will leave quite an impression on you\!
To make sure you get a room with an Arc de Triomphe view, **pick the âPrivilege Room with Viewâ.** You can also get a view with the âSuperior Double Room with Balconyâ, but double-check with the hotel prior to booking that the balcony has a view of the Arc de Triomphe. Also, **try to get a higher floor** (3-5) to get the best view.
You can get breakfast sent to your room so you can start the day facing the beautiful Arc de Triomphe. **I found myself hanging out on the balcony for much of the day** and just absorbing in the magnificent view\!
***Best for: The View***
Hotel Norman

Hotel Norman is a new boutique hotel with a cozy, intimate feel with a nod to the 1950âs and 1960âs of American modernism and Bauhaus influences.
Also, the French donât mess around when it comes to food and their incredible breakfast buffet shows their dedication to the craft\!
Maison Mere

Situated in one of our **favorite areas of Paris** (the 9th Arrondissement), Maison Mere is also lucky enough to be on a **quiet pedestrian street** so you donât get the typical street noise while staying here.
We loved all the **stylish design touches** throughout the public areas of the hotel and inside the room. There was **delicious, hot tea** for guests in the lobby area - perfect for when we visited during the winter holidays\!
**Rooms were very comfortable** with rain showers, honey based soap/shampoo, and an **excellent view of the Parisian streets** from the big windows.
**Breakfast was one of our favorites** with a large spread of fresh bread, cheese, fruit, jam, desserts, yogurt, and freshly made eggs and bacon. The breakfast attendant was especially cheery and friendly - **we loved the service here\!**
***Best For: Location and Value***
Hotel Panache

Located in the up-and-coming Faubourg Montmartre district in the 9th arrondissement, Hotel Panache is in the **perfect central location** to explore much of Paris on foot or by metro. Itâs also one of the best arrondissements to stay in Paris\!
The hotel itself is **playfully decorated** with fun and stylish vintage elements such as Bauhaus light switches, vintage telephones, and Art Nouveau bedframes.
The enthusiastic staff is very helpful and speak many different languages, making it very **friendly for international visitors** staying here.
All the rooms here are unique in their own way, but if youâre lucky youâll get one of the rooms on the corner with **outdoor balconies** facing the famous Parisian rooftops of the neighborhood.
***Best for: Location and Value***
Saint James

Saint James Paris recently underwent a major redesign and emerged with a **bright new look** with designer Laura Gonzalez in charge.
The rooms were **upgraded with snazzy new flower print wallpapers** with colorful and artistic furniture to match. More windows and space were added to each room by removing a number of rooms.
The **steam room and pool area** are a special highlight since they are especially large and feel sparkling new.
**The Library Bar** is very unique, as the hotel used to be a university. The original library (complete with antique books) is a **great place to grab an afternoon drink or nighttime cocktail.**
On nice days, the **back garden area has a lovely covered gazebo** that is worth visiting. Itâll make you feel like you have your own private chateau\!
***Best for: Luxury, Relaxing Stays***
Hotel du Petit Moulin

Perfectly located in the **trendy Haut-Marais**, the Hotel du Petit Moulin is a small boutique hotel with **individually designed rooms** by Christian Lacroix.
Youâll really be in the **middle of the action** with plenty of **interesting shops** right on the same street along with all sorts of delicious restaurants to pick from.
**Each room is a visual feast** with bold color patterns, swirling motifs, **striped wallpapers**, golden light fixtures, and fancy floor mirrors.
The small breakfast room, serving a nice French breakfast, turns into a **guests-only bar** Thursday through Saturday.
***Best for: Location and Value***
Shangri-La Paris

Previously the **mansion of Prince Roland Bonaparte**, great-nephew of Napoleon, the Shangri-La Paris is one of the **most beautiful and famous luxury hotels** in Paris.
The **Eiffel Tower is just across the river** and is visible from many of the rooms. Itâll look so close that you might feel like you can just reach out and **touch the Eiffel Tower** from your balcony room\!
The famous Chi spa is a major standout with its **striking pool** and world-class massage therapy program.
Itâs also a total treat to dine in the **outdoor terrace** of the hotel restaurant since youâll have a **serene garden facing the Eiffel Tower** as your backdrop.
Make sure to have **breakfast served to you in the room**, so you can have a croissant and coffee while basking in the views of the Eiffel Tower.
***Best for: Luxury Stays***
Chateau Frontenac

Just **one block from the dazzling Champs Elysee** and **walking distance** to many of the other main attractions in Paris, the Chateau Frontenac is a **great value for its location and balcony rooms.**
Our room had a **nice view of the Parisian rooftops** along with a **direct line of sight to the Eiffel Tower.**
Even though we had a room facing the street, **we didnât hear much street noise**, which is a bonus since Iâm a light sleeper\!
***Best for: Location and Value***
Hotel Les Deux Gares

Youâll feel like youâve **stepped into a Wes Anderson movie** once youâve entered the Hotel Les Deux Gares with its **brightly colored walls**, black and white tiled floorboards, and **tastefully designed rooms.**
Located a **five-minute walk from Gare du Nord**, this is a great location for those using the train station and willing to base themselves in an **unconventional spot to explore Paris.**
Rooms come in **beautiful color combinations** such as **dusky pink and green** while the bathrooms are colored in **vintage pastel colors.**
Youâll want to check out the **CafĂ© les Deux Gares** which is run by the same team and is full of **French train paraphernalia.**
Overall, this is one of the **best values in Paris** with rooms running around \$125 a night.
***Best for: Location and Value***
Paris Perfect

If you want to stay in a **fully furnished apartment** rather than a hotel room, Paris Perfect is a great choice since they have a **large selection of places all over Paris** - many with **wonderful views** of landmarks such as the **Eiffel Tower**.
Each apartment is outfitted with beautiful decorations **sourced from Paris flea markets**, comfortable bedding, and a fully stocked kitchen.
Some of the units are quite large, so they are a great option for **groups of friends or a family** traveling together.
For one of the **best views of the Eiffel Tower**, we recommend the [Margaux](https://www.parisperfect.com/reservations/theme/parisperfect/accodetail?0&resourceid=1264010&selection=BDJP3r3pExXuoXwbYvOe2KtklfgPrRMWE5aWcpvABsc%3D&tab=description) - which can house around 6-8 people comfortably. One of our favorite things about this unit is the incredible top floor **wraparound balcony that has views of the Eiffel Tower.** Youâll also have great views of the famous Parisian rooftops.
Another option, for a **great central location**, you canât beat the Place Dauphine units. They are located on the **Ăle de la CitĂ© island on the Seine**. We loved the [SavenniĂšres](https://www.parisperfect.com/reservations/theme/parisperfect/accodetail?2&resourceid=1264091&selection=B33ASw43BRqpKgyGNKO9bpQ8fvnG3KgRzdAB5PpZYco%3D&tab=description) - which is great for 1-2 people and has a **beautiful balcony terrace** overlooking the Place Dauphine park below.
There are many apartments in their collection of varying sizes, locations, and views - so make sure to browse their website to see which one resonates with you\!
***Best for: Larger groups and families***
San Regis

Located on a quiet road just off the famous Champs-Elysées and the high-end boutique shops, this understated five-star hotel boasts **excellent service, amazing views of Paris, and a perfect location** for exploring the area near the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Invalides, and the Seine River.
Originally the hotel was a **private mansion** before being converted in the 1920s. It was frequented by many Hollywood celebrities and its interiors were designed by the famous designer Pierre-Yves Rochon.
The rooms are **elegant with all marble bathrooms** and comfortable bedding. Some of the **higher floor rooms have outdoor balconies that have views of the Eiffel Tower.**
The glass roof enclosed restaurant at Les Confidences is a great place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
***Best for: Quiet Luxury Near Champs Elysees***
Adele and Jules

This contemporary boutique hotel is a combination of two properties âAdeleâ and âJulesâ and is located in a **great spot to explore the Right Bank** of Paris. In addition, itâs a **very quiet street** due to street gates blocking off traffic.
The room accommodations are modernly outfitted with comfortable beds, **beautiful views of the Parisian** street, and large bathrooms.
There are complimentary bikes, laundry facilities for guest usage, and a nice lobby with included afternoon tea.
***Best for: Location and Value***
