However, the physical appearance of Apple’s beloved iPhone is one of the company’s most talked-about issues. \nMany loyal Apple fans have\nflagged\nthat little to no significant changes have been made to Apple’s iPhone design over the past few years despite the release of several new models.\nThe last two major design changes to the product were in 2020 when Apple introduced the iPhone 12 Pro, which included three camera lenses on the back of the phone; this was a major upgrade that became the norm for future iPhones.\nIn 2022, Apple introduced its Dynamic Island for iPhone, a pill-sized secondary display that previews notifications at the top of the device’s screen.\nWhen Apple introduced the iPhone 15 last year, the phone design looked identical to the iPhone 14 with no major changes. Apple’s upcoming iPhone 16 will also\nreportedly\nhave only minor tweaks and look similar to the iPhone 15. \nBut now, Apple allegedly plans to go in a different direction when designing future iPhones and other products.\nApple iPhone to get a new design\nAccording to a new\nreport\n from Bloomberg, Apple plans to make “a new class of Apple devices that should be the thinnest and lightest products in their categories across the whole tech industry.”\nApp icons displayed on iPhone 15 Pro screen are seen in this illustration photo at the store in Krakow, Poland on October 31, 2023. \nNurPhoto\/Getty Images\nApple is reportedly aiming to make its iPhone 17, which is expected to be released in 2025, “significantly skinnier.” It is also planning to slim down its Apple Watch and MacBook Pro. \nApple’s unveiling of its iPad Pro in May, which is the ‘thinnest Apple product ever’ at 5.3 mm, gave a solid preview of what future products from the company will look like.\nThe change comes after Apple slightly thickened its products to accommodate multiple cameras and allow more battery life.\nMore Technology:\nPolice warn parents about a dangerous new iPhone feature\nGoogle to start deleting inactive accounts this week\nMajor dating apps are yanking their ads from Meta for a disturbing reason\nApple’s battle with low sales\nThe shift to thinner and lighter products comes after Apple\nreported\na 4% revenue decline year-over-year during the second quarter of 2024. \nProduct sales also declined by 9.5% during the quarter, with iPhone sales shrinking by 10.5%.\nAmid declining sales, Apple recently announced a\npartnership\nwith OpenAI, which will implement several new\nAI\nfeatures in Apple’s products. \nThe new\nfeatures\n, called Apple Intelligence, will help users communicate better with enhanced writing and image tools. Apple ( AAPL ) has recently faced harsh criticism from its consumers, from botched software updates to privacy concerns over its big investment in artificial intelligence. However, the physical appearance of Apple’s beloved iPhone is one of the company’s most talked-about issues. Many loyal Apple fans have flagged that little to no significant changes have been made to Apple’s iPhone design over the past few years despite the release of several new models. The last two major design changes to the product were in 2020 when Apple introduced the iPhone 12 Pro, which included three camera lenses on the back of the phone; this was a major upgrade that became the norm for future iPhones. In 2022, Apple introduced its Dynamic Island for iPhone, a pill-sized secondary display that previews notifications at the top of the device’s screen. When Apple introduced the iPhone 15 last year, the phone design looked identical to the iPhone 14 with no major changes. Apple’s upcoming iPhone 16 will also reportedly have only minor tweaks and look similar to the iPhone 15. But now, Apple allegedly plans to go in a different direction when designing future iPhones and other products.
