Recently, the Singapore Government announced that they would beĀ extending the

all current Covid-19 restrictions
till November 21. This means that dining in will continue to be capped at two vaccinated people and that we will only be allowed to welcome two visitors in our homes at any one time.Ā
Unfortunately, this also means that we will not be able to visit our families in large groups or dine out together in restaurants.Ā
Thankfully, despite the situation, our local Indian restaurants are still celebrating the festival of lights.Ā
In fact, many of our award-winning chefs and restaurants have come up with some pretty spectacular
Deepavali menus
this season for us to enjoy at home or in their restaurants in groups of two.Ā

Every year, during Diwali, many Hindu families will create elaborate and colourful decorations at the entrances of their homes. This is called Rangoli or Kolam and is a traditional decoration that is typically made with ground rice powder or rice grains. These decorations are usually elaborate and feature geometrical patterns, different colours and sweeping patterns.Ā
This is typically done to welcome the goddess of wealth and good luck, Lakshmi, into the home. As you can imagine, it also takes a lot of skill.
Thankfully, this year, the Malaysian Association in Singapore will be running a Rangoli workshop with creative artist and designer Sudharavi who is in the Singapore Book of Records for creating a Rangoli for Singaporeās 53rd National Day.
The event will be taking place over Zoom and tickets will entitle guests to a package that will include all the materials you will need including coloured powders, glitter and glue.

Every year, during Diwali, many Hindu families will create elaborate and colourful decorations at the entrances of their homes. This is called Rangoli or Kolam and is a traditional decoration that is typically made with ground rice powder or rice grains. These decorations are usually elaborate and feature geometrical patterns, different colours and sweeping patterns.
