No. Smoking, including vaping, is strictly prohibited on Singapore-registered aircraft. Passengers, if found guilty, could face a fine (not exceeding \$5,000) or imprisonment (not exceeding 12 months) or both. Passengers are also reminded that the use of e-cigarettes is also banned from use on all Singapore registered aircraft. ### Can I carry a vape device with me onboard? E-cigarettes, personal vapourisers “vapes” or electronic nicotine delivery systems are only allowed in carry-on baggage where permitted by the applicable local laws. In Singapore, the purchasing, using or owning an electronic vapouriser will result in fines of up to \$2,000 per offence. The charging of power banks via the onboard USB ports, as well as using power banks to charge personal devices, are prohibited throughout the duration of the flight. ### Can I bring power banks on board? Power banks must be carried in cabin baggage on all SIA flights and are not permitted in checked baggage. Customers may bring power banks with a capacity of up to 100Wh without special approval, while those between 100Wh and 160Wh require airline approval. Spare batteries and power banks should not be placed in the overhead compartment, but in locations such as in cabin baggage under the seat in front, or the seat back pocket.
