(We prefer to have ONE drummer throughout the day, so we don’t need to worry about different costume sizes\n \nAges 16 years and older only.\nEach team should have a minimum of 20 paddlers and up to a maximum of 24 (4 alternates, a maximum of only 4 alternate paddlers is allowed.)\nThere is a T-Shirt & Drummer Costume Contest for Teams. \nEach Participant will get a T-shirt and a patch! Don't forget to fill out your shirt size! \nTop 3 Boat Teams will take home Medals and bragging rights!\nSponsorship Opportunities\nThis is a highly visible event hosted by the Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce. Novice teams are provided with instruction and all of the necessary equipment to race.\n\nThe event will begin at 8:30\/9:00 AM and conclude at approximately 5 PM. Spectators are encouraged to come to Port Jefferson Harbor with their lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the festivities. [CLICK THIS VIDEO LINK TO SEE OUR TEAM IN ACTION](https://www.facebook.com/reel/531407192712929) * # About The Port Jeff Dragon Boat Race Festival Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce is holding their 11th Annual Dragon Boat Race Festival at the harbor of Port Jefferson Village. This events brings together our communities to share a day of recreational racing competition, entertainment, and team building to Port Jefferson’s Village beautiful harbor. This event will include local and regional teams coming together to race against each other in a series of heats. Novice teams are provided with instruction and all of the necessary equipment to race. The event will begin at 8:30/9:00 AM and conclude at approximately 5 PM. Spectators are encouraged to come to Port Jefferson Harbor with their lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the festivities. Food vendors and music will keep the event lively for all throughout the day. * # Team Participant Information - \$100 reserves your spot in the boat - Each heat MUST HAVE 10 MALE AND 10 FEMALE AND A DRUMMER. (We prefer to have ONE drummer throughout the day, so we don’t need to worry about different costume sizes - Ages 16 years and older only. Each team should have a minimum of 20 paddlers and up to a maximum of 24 (4 alternates, a maximum of only 4 alternate paddlers is allowed.) - There is a T-Shirt & Drummer Costume Contest for Teams. - Each Participant will get a T-shirt and a patch! Don't forget to fill out your shirt size\! - Top 3 Boat Teams will take home Medals and bragging rights\! * # Sponsorship Opportunities This is a highly visible event hosted by the Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce. This is a great way to showcase your support and let your company be seen by many people all over Long Island.
