There’s a snazzy new and FREE hangout spot in town, and it looks like a cave! The Bukit Batok Library has recently reopened, and its interior is inspired by the town-fave Little Guilin quarry at Bukit Batok Town Park. It’s incredibly photo-worthy, with the bonus being that you get to read books for free! Check out some unique spaces here, such as relaxation rooms, interactive exhibits, a Sound Pavilion and more. There are also storytelling sessions on Saturdays at 11.30am to 12pm, suitable for 4 to 6-year-olds.

9. Cool off at the reopened Jurong East Swimming Complex

In case you didn’t already know, the Jurong East Swimming Complex is one of the largest of its kind in Singapore! And here’s the great news: it has partially reopened! Check out a spacious water play area with lots of water jets and buckets–perfect for scorching days. What we love most, though, is the lazy river, the wave pool and the kids’ pool where the little ones can burn all their energy off. Entry is super affordable, too, at $1/adult and $0.80/child.

Mother’s Day
has arrived early at Great World! Starting this weekend, you can catch animal mascots at 2.30pm and 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The cute pink bear hails from South Korea, and you can now spot a giant 7-metre-tall inflatable Bellygom right at the departure gates. is a free immersive light and sound installation at Supertree Grove created by Switzerland-based artist Dan Ache. Using layers of light and cloud particles, the magical splendour of the Northern Lights is recreated. Borealis happens on Mondays and the weekend only (timing below) and is in addition to the Garden Rhapsody light and sound show, where the lights on the Supertrees dance to a changing musical soundtrack that takes place daily at 7.45pm and 8.45pm.

If you’re a fan of their artsy UT collection, then check out an exclusive two-month-long Uniqlo pop-up at the Asian Civilisations Museum. This weekend’s the best time to visit, as you can take part in free immersive arts programmes at ‘A Weekend of Curiosities’ taking place at the museum! ## 6\. Visit the revamped Bukit Batok Library (FREE!)

There’s a snazzy new and FREE hangout spot in town, and it looks like a cave! The Bukit Batok Library has recently reopened, and its interior is inspired by the town-fave Little Guilin quarry at Bukit Batok Town Park. Using layers of light and cloud particles, the magical splendour of the Northern Lights is recreated. Borealis happens on Mondays and the weekend only (timing below) and is in addition to the Garden Rhapsody light and sound show, where the lights on the Supertrees dance to a changing musical soundtrack that takes place daily at 7.45pm and 8.45pm.

Research also showed that using the right restraint can reduce injury risk by more than 80%. Using layers of light and cloud particles, the magical splendour of the Northern Lights is recreated. Borealis happens on Mondays and the weekend only (timing below) and is in addition to the Garden Rhapsody light and sound show, where the lights on the Supertrees dance to a changing musical soundtrack that takes place daily at 7.45pm and 8.45pm.
