YouTube is my favorite free alternative to 123Movies.
There are a ton of channels where you can watch full movies at no cost, like Public Domain Films, Cult Cinema Classics, Korean Classic Films, Mosfilm, PizzaFlix, Popcornflix, and more. There are fairly frequent ads (sometimes as often as every 10 minutes), but most can be skipped within a few seconds.
The video quality depends on the chosen channel, but many have HD streams and even 4k remastered classics like Casablanca. The nice thing about YouTube is that every video has numerous quality options depending on your connection speed.
You can also find a lot of free films on YouTube Movies if you live in the US. There, movies are sorted by genre, with additional primetime shows and even channels like HBO Max and NBA TV, which you can try for free. I found both newer titles like A Minecraft Movie and classics like Waterworld and Tombstone.
YouTube is pretty secure, but itās not the most private. While it doesnāt sell your data, it does use your data and activity to target you with ads and recommend relevant videos. That said, you can opt out of all this in your account settings. YouTube is owned by Google, which collects your data, including all of the videos you watch on YouTube.

Plex is available in most countries worldwide.
While many competitors have strong regional restrictions, you can watch Plex from 195 different countries and on every device you can think of (even Nvidiaās Shield tablets).
The siteās free section contains both live TV and over 20,000 free movies and shows, including classics like Rashomon and Jurassic Park, but also newer titles such as Journeyās End.
Video quality is standard HD (720p) on desktop devices, though you can change it depending on your connection speed on the mobile apps. Ads are mostly related to Plex itself, but they do tend to appear rather randomly. In one movie, I had them popping up every 5 minutes or so, while in another, there were only a handful over the course of the entire film.
Plex allows users to start watching content without registering, which is great for privacy-focused users, but you can also log in with Google to get more control over your streaming experience. The site admits to gathering basic information such as your email address and name, but can also track your viewing habits and ratings, though you have the option of limiting the amount of data shared.

ā so long as you donāt mind a few ads. Itās available for mobile devices and multiple Smart TV models, but itās only available in the US.
One thing I particularly like about this siteĀ is its filtering function. You can filter by genre, cost, and type (movies or TV), and even by its rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The site lets you set multiple filters at the same time, too, and itās pretty cool that you can sort the results by popularity and release date as well.
You canāt change video quality, but many movies are available in full HD (1080p), and there are even 4K options. There are occasional unskippable ads of around 15-second movie trailers, so it feels a bit like watching the movie at a cinema.
Fandango at Home requiresĀ you to create an account, even if youāre watching for free, so you will at least have to give the site an email address. According to its privacy policy, this and any other personal information the site collects may be shared with related companies and other third parties.

Tubi is a great way to stream a lot of popular movies and TV shows for free.
Plus, itās available in 10+ countries, including the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, and Mexico, and you can watch through mobile apps, various streaming platforms like Roku, and even Xbox and PlayStation consoles.
While many of Tubiās offerings are slightly dated titles, it also hosts content from as recent as the current year. Its library isnāt just full of obscure movies and TV shows, either ā you can find popular films like Godzilla vs Kong, classics like the Lethal Weapon movies, and shows like Demascus, too.
You can change video quality, add closed captions, and more. While the video quality is not the best (thereās no 1080p or 4K videos), the videos load very quickly. Tubi also has fewer ads than most free platforms, and I only had an ad every 15 minutes or so.
You donāt need to sign up to stream on Tubi, but the site does still collect some personal information, such as your activity on the site and your IP address. Plus, any information it collects may be shared with third-party advertisers and business partners.

so you can opt for a more traditional TV experience by picking one of its live channels, or searching for a particular title yourself.
Pluto TV has apps for Android and iOS devices, smart TVs, Roku, and even Xbox gaming consoles. Its library includes slightly dated but popular titles like The Wolf of Wall Street and Anchorman, as well as old classics like Indiana Jones and Top Gun.

**YouTube is my favorite free alternative to 123Movies.** There are a ton of channels where you can watch full movies at no cost, like Public Domain Films, Cult Cinema Classics, Korean Classic Films, Mosfilm, PizzaFlix, Popcornflix, and more. There are fairly frequent ads (sometimes as often as every 10 minutes), but most can be skipped within a few seconds.
The video quality depends on the chosen channel, but many have HD streams and even 4k remastered classics like Casablanca. The nice thing about YouTube is that every video has numerous quality options depending on your connection speed.
You can also find a lot of free films on YouTube Movies if you live in the US. There, movies are sorted by genre, with additional primetime shows and even channels like HBO Max and NBA TV, which you can try for free. I found both newer titles like A Minecraft Movie and classics like Waterworld and Tombstone.
YouTube is pretty secure, but itās not the most private. While it doesnāt sell your data, it does use your data and activity to target you with ads and recommend relevant videos. That said, you can opt out of all this in your account settings. YouTube is owned by Google, which collects your data, including all of the videos you watch on YouTube.
### 2\. [Plex](https://watch.plex.tv/)
**Plex is available in most countries worldwide.** While many competitors have strong regional restrictions, you can watch Plex from 195 different countries and on every device you can think of (even Nvidiaās Shield tablets).
The siteās free section contains both live TV and over 20,000 free movies and shows, including classics like Rashomon and Jurassic Park, but also newer titles such as Journeyās End.
Video quality is standard HD (720p) on desktop devices, though you can change it depending on your connection speed on the mobile apps. Ads are mostly related to Plex itself, but they do tend to appear rather randomly. In one movie, I had them popping up every 5 minutes or so, while in another, there were only a handful over the course of the entire film.
Plex allows users to start watching content without registering, which is great for privacy-focused users, but you can also log in with Google to get more control over your streaming experience. The site admits to gathering basic information such as your email address and name, but can also track your viewing habits and ratings, though you have the option of limiting the amount of data shared.

**Formerly called Vudu, Fandango at Home has a sizable catalog of free content** ā so long as you donāt mind a few ads. Itās available for mobile devices and multiple Smart TV models, but itās only available in the US.
One thing I particularly like about this site is its filtering function. You can filter by genre, cost, and type (movies or TV), and even by its rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The site lets you set multiple filters at the same time, too, and itās pretty cool that you can sort the results by popularity and release date as well.
You canāt change video quality, but many movies are available in full HD (1080p), and there are even 4K options. There are occasional unskippable ads of around 15-second movie trailers, so it feels a bit like watching the movie at a cinema.
Fandango at Home requires you to create an account, even if youāre watching for free, so you will at least have to give the site an email address. According to its privacy policy, this and any other personal information the site collects may be shared with related companies and other third parties.

**Tubi is a great way to stream a lot of popular movies and TV shows for free.** Plus, itās available in 10+ countries, including the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, and Mexico, and you can watch through mobile apps, various streaming platforms like Roku, and even Xbox and PlayStation consoles.
While many of Tubiās offerings are slightly dated titles, it also hosts content from as recent as the current year. Its library isnāt just full of obscure movies and TV shows, either ā you can find popular films like Godzilla vs Kong, classics like the Lethal Weapon movies, and shows like Demascus, too.
**You can change video quality, add closed captions, and more. While the video quality is not the best (thereās no 1080p or 4K videos), the videos load very quickly. Tubi also has fewer ads than most free platforms, and I only had an ad every 15 minutes or so.**
You donāt need to sign up to stream on Tubi, but the site does still collect some personal information, such as your activity on the site and your IP address. Plus, any information it collects may be shared with third-party advertisers and business partners.

The video quality depends on the chosen channel, but many have HD streams and even 4k remastered classics like Casablanca. The nice thing about YouTube is that every video has numerous quality options depending on your connection speed.
You can also find a lot of free films on YouTube Movies if you live in the US. There, movies are sorted by genre, with additional primetime shows and even channels like HBO Max and NBA TV, which you can try for free. I found both newer titles like A Minecraft Movie and classics like Waterworld and Tombstone.
YouTube is pretty secure, but itās not the most private. While it doesnāt sell your data, it does use your data and activity to target you with ads and recommend relevant videos. That said, you can opt out of all this in your account settings. YouTube is owned by Google, which collects your data, including all of the videos you watch on YouTube.
