We from Ducati Motor Club Singapore join in to celebrate this festival by hosting a simple Indian cuisine dinner for members as well as a club ride through Little India civic district to take in the atmosphere and enjoy the light up.\nMore on Deepavali\nAs one of the major cultural festivals in Singapore, Deepavali (also known as “Diwali” or the “Festival of Lights”) is a celebration that marks the triumph of good over evil.\nIt’s when thousands of Hindu families in the city—and across the world—transform their homes into beacons of light, exchange gifts, share feasts and perform\npooja\n(prayers) to deities such as Lakshmi, the goddess of fertility and prosperity.\n5 days of Celebrations\nThe Diwali festival takes place over five days. The first day,\nDhanteras\n, is for celebrating Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of wealth, prosperity, youth and beauty. On this first day, people buy new items such as jewelry, clothing and utensils and light lamps to welcome Lakshmi, according to\nIndia Today\n.   The second day, known as\nChhoti Diwali\n,\nNaraka Chaturdasi\nor\nKali Chaudas\n, focuses on a story from Hindu mythology about the god Krishna and his defeat of the demon god Narakasura. On this day, some people put up twinkling lights to celebrate his victory.\nThe third day, known as\nDiwali\n,\nDeepawali\n, or\nLakshmi Puja\n, is the most important day of the Diwali festival. On this day, people visit\nfamily\nand friends to feast and exchange sweets and gifts. People also continue to light lamps and candles to welcome light and prosperity from the goddess Lakshmi.  On the fourth day, known as Govardhan Puja or Padva, some people in northern India build small piles of cow dung as a symbol of how Krishna defeated the king of the Hindu gods,\nIndra\n, by lifting up a mountain.\nThe fifth day, known as\nBhai Dooj\nor\nYama Dwitiva\n, is a day for brothers and sisters to honor one another. Siblings perform a ceremony called\ntilak\nand pray for one another.   On this final day of Diwali, many people also set off fireworks.\nWhat is Diwali ?\nA production of National Geographic detailing about the celebration of Diwali in India.  As one of the most significant Indian festivals is Diwali, or the Festival of Lights. It's a five days celebration that includes good food, fireworks, coloured sand, and special candles and lamps.\nCatch Us On Our Celebration\nMeet up point has been arranged for the night to start of at the Home of Ducati @ Leng Kee.  The early birds gather at Wearnes past its closing time.  The  plan was to go for a simple Indian cuisine dinner hosted by the club for all attendees.\nFrom Leng Kee, we rode down to Khan Saab Restaurant for our simple yet delicious cuisine of thosai and masala tea. Khan Saab Restaurant is a neighbourhood restaurant located in the vicinity of Chai Chee.  They served delicious southern Indian cuisine and well known for the soft yet crispy thosai and prata.\nAlong the way we had many more joining us for the event \/ ride.  We are open to all makes of bikes other than Ducati to join us for our events.  We hope to cater to the passion of riding and at the same time be able to promote the brand, Ducati to others and why they should try it at least once in their life.\nMany have fallen in love with the bikes after joining us for our rides and some have even moved on to changed their bikes to the Ducati.\nFrom here, our Deepavali ride starts.  We have close to 20 bikes on the road riding to Little India to catch a glimpse of the light up in Serangoon Road.  Our rides are in orderly fashion although we try not to stick too close such that it may be deemed as a convoy when we ride (not allowed in Singapore without prior approval). Everyone enjoyed the simple yet enjoyable ride .  Dessert was a selection of chocolates, cakes or even an acai bowl at a dessert house downtown. Little India is beautifully decorated with colourful bright neon lights, lighting up the streets of Serangoon Road. We hope to cater to the passion of riding and at the same time be able to promote the brand, Ducati to others and why they should try it at least once in their life.\n\nMany have fallen in love with the bikes after joining us for our rides and some have even moved on to changed their bikes to the Ducati.\n\nFrom here, our Deepavali ride starts. We have close to 20 bikes on the road riding to Little India to catch a glimpse of the light up in Serangoon Road. Our rides are in orderly fashion although we try not to stick too close such that it may be deemed as a convoy when we ride (not allowed in Singapore without prior approval). We are open to all makes of bikes other than Ducati to join us for our events. We hope to cater to the passion of riding and at the same time be able to promote the brand, Ducati to others and why they should try it at least once in their life.\n\nMany have fallen in love with the bikes after joining us for our rides and some have even moved on to changed their bikes to the Ducati.\n\nFrom here, our Deepavali ride starts. We have close to 20 bikes on the road riding to Little India to catch a glimpse of the light up in Serangoon Road. Our rides are in orderly fashion although we try not to stick too close such that it may be deemed as a convoy when we ride (not allowed in Singapore without prior approval). Everyone enjoyed the simple yet enjoyable ride . Dessert was a selection of chocolates, cakes or even an acai bowl at a dessert house downtown. Boilerpipe Text	DMCS Deepavali Ride 2021 Deepavali, the festival of lights, the celebration of triumph of good over evil, is celebrated by Hindus all over the world on 4 November for the year 2021. Little India is beautifully decorated with colourful bright neon lights, lighting up the streets of Serangoon Road. We from Ducati Motor Club Singapore join in to celebrate this festival by hosting a simple Indian cuisine dinner for members as well as a club ride through Little India civic district to take in the atmosphere and enjoy the light up. More on Deepavali As one of the major cultural festivals in Singapore, Deepavali (also known as “Diwali” or the “Festival of Lights”) is a celebration that marks the triumph of good over evil. It’s when thousands of Hindu families in the city—and across the world—transform their homes into beacons of light, exchange gifts, share feasts and perform pooja (prayers) to deities such as Lakshmi, the goddess of fertility and prosperity. 5 days of Celebrations The Diwali festival takes place over five days. The first day, Dhanteras , is for celebrating Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of wealth, prosperity, youth and beauty. On this first day, people buy new items such as jewelry, clothing and utensils and light lamps to welcome Lakshmi, according to India Today . The second day, known as Chhoti Diwali , Naraka Chaturdasi or Kali Chaudas , focuses on a story from Hindu mythology about the god Krishna and his defeat of the demon god Narakasura. On this day, some people put up twinkling lights to celebrate his victory. The third day, known as Diwali , Deepawali , or Lakshmi Puja , is the most important day of the Diwali festival. On this day, people visit family and friends to feast and exchange sweets and gifts. People also continue to light lamps and candles to welcome light and prosperity from the goddess Lakshmi. On the fourth day, known as Govardhan Puja or Padva, some people in northern India build small piles of cow dung as a symbol of how Krishna defeated the king of the Hindu gods, Indra , by lifting up a mountain. The fifth day, known as Bhai Dooj or Yama Dwitiva , is a day for brothers and sisters to honor one another. Siblings perform a ceremony called tilak and pray for one another. On this final day of Diwali, many people also set off fireworks. What is Diwali ? A production of National Geographic detailing about the celebration of Diwali in India. As one of the most significant Indian festivals is Diwali, or the Festival of Lights. It's a five days celebration that includes good food, fireworks, coloured sand, and special candles and lamps. Catch Us On Our Celebration Meet up point has been arranged for the night to start of at the Home of Ducati @ Leng Kee. The early birds gather at Wearnes past its closing time. The plan was to go for a simple Indian cuisine dinner hosted by the club for all attendees. From Leng Kee, we rode down to Khan Saab Restaurant for our simple yet delicious cuisine of thosai and masala tea. Khan Saab Restaurant is a neighbourhood restaurant located in the vicinity of Chai Chee. They served delicious southern Indian cuisine and well known for the soft yet crispy thosai and prata. Along the way we had many more joining us for the event / ride. We are open to all makes of bikes other than Ducati to join us for our events. We hope to cater to the passion of riding and at the same time be able to promote the brand, Ducati to others and why they should try it at least once in their life. Many have fallen in love with the bikes after joining us for our rides and some have even moved on to changed their bikes to the Ducati. From here, our Deepavali ride starts. We have close to 20 bikes on the road riding to Little India to catch a glimpse of the light up in Serangoon Road. Our rides are in orderly fashion although we try not to stick too close such that it may be deemed as a convoy when we ride (not allowed in Singapore without prior approval). We ride at our own pace from one point to another often keeping in sight of the bike in front of us throughout the ride. Everyone enjoyed the simple yet enjoyable ride . Dessert was a selection of chocolates, cakes or even an acai bowl at a dessert house downtown. Little India is beautifully decorated with colourful bright neon lights, lighting up the streets of Serangoon Road. It’s when thousands of Hindu families in the city—and across the world—transform their homes into beacons of light, exchange gifts, share feasts and perform pooja (prayers) to deities such as Lakshmi, the goddess of fertility and prosperity. 5 days of Celebrations The Diwali festival takes place over five days. The first day, Dhanteras, is for celebrating Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of wealth, prosperity, youth and beauty. We are open to all makes of bikes other than Ducati to join us for our events. We hope to cater to the passion of riding and at the same time be able to promote the brand, Ducati to others and why they should try it at least once in their life. Many have fallen in love with the bikes after joining us for our rides and some have even moved on to changed their bikes to the Ducati. From here, our Deepavali ride starts. We have close to 20 bikes on the road riding to Little India to catch a glimpse of the light up in Serangoon Road. Our rides are in orderly fashion although we try not to stick too close such that it may be deemed as a convoy when we ride (not allowed in Singapore without prior approval). We are open to all makes of bikes other than Ducati to join us for our events. We hope to cater to the passion of riding and at the same time be able to promote the brand, Ducati to others and why they should try it at least once in their life. Many have fallen in love with the bikes after joining us for our rides and some have even moved on to changed their bikes to the Ducati. From here, our Deepavali ride starts. We have close to 20 bikes on the road riding to Little India to catch a glimpse of the light up in Serangoon Road. Our rides are in orderly fashion although we try not to stick too close such that it may be deemed as a convoy when we ride (not allowed in Singapore without prior approval).
