Adults ages 18 and over, as well as 16 and 17 year-olds with [parent or guardian permission](https://www.rebuildingcenter.org/s/RBC-Minor-Waiver.pdf). Beginners – Many of our classes don’t require any previous experience, though please check the class descriptions for more details. All genders – We provide a safe and encouraging place for people to learn, especially folks who have historically been kept out of construction-related spaces. On average approximately 80% of our students are female-identified folks. We also offer several BIPOC-focused classes, including our popular Tables & Benches class, which are curated for BIPOC students but open to all. - ### Sliding Scale Pricing Sliding Scale Ticket Tiers **Pay-It-Forward Price:** Helps fund access for others. By choosing this tier, you’re not only attending a class—you’re investing in your community and helping us offer future low-cost and free programs. **True Cost Ticket:** Covers the actual cost of your participation. This tier helps us pay instructors, keep the lights on, and continue offering hands-on, skills-building education. **Neighborly Rate:** For those with little-to-no expendable income. You’re meeting your needs, but paying for this class is a stretch. This discounted rate helps you take part without creating hardship. **Low-Barrier Access Ticket:** For those experiencing financial hardship. If paying the full rate feels out of reach, this option is here so you can still join us, learn new skills, and connect with community. Please choose the appropriate option in the “Event Admission” section of the registration process. *Your choice supports everyone. When you pay more than the true cost, you help cover someone else’s spot. When you need to pay less, you’re still welcome with open arms. That’s how we build together.* - ### Group Classes Group classes are a great way to share fun and new skills among friends or coworkers. Participants get to collaborate, problem-solve, and explore creativity while gaining practical know-how and, depending on the class, a pretty cool project to take home.
