But I am even more worried about catching COVID-19. At my age, the potential damage to my health from the virus is high. After doing my own research and consulting my doctors, I took the first dose of the vaccine this morning together with fellow seniors at Marine Parade CC. Prevention is better than cure, I reasoned. By 9.30 am, some 60 senior residents already had their vaccinations. I chatted with many of them in the rest and observation area. They were all happy with the experience. Bravo our senior MParaders. Teck Ghee CC is one of two CCs being used for vaccinations, along with Tanjong Pagar CC. More centres will be set up in the coming weeks, so that everyone can conveniently receive their vaccinations. Glad the take-up rate from our seniors has been very encouraging. COVID-19 Vaccination Centres Since January 2021, Raffles Medical Group has been working closely with the Singapore government on its national vaccination programme. The national vaccination programme is an important next phase in our fight against COVID-19, as we protect people and support the progressive re-opening of Singapore. Raffles Medical Group currently operates 15 vaccination centres across various community clubs and clinics in Singapore as the vaccine is progressively rolled out to all Singaporeans and long term residents.
