Jobs, 56, has been suffering from pancreatic cancer and has been on medical leave for an undisclosed condition since Jan. 17. He underwent a liver transplant in 2009. "We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today," the company said in a brief statement. "Steve's brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve."
