My comments about the bar are fairly negative, so I won’t mention the place, but it was one of the best locations to be to view  the fireworks and aerial show.\nFireworks Launch Platform\nFireworks Launch Platform\nFireworks Launch Platform with the Float in the background\nEsplanade Outdoor Stage and the floating gun platoform\nEsplanade Outdoor Stage and the floating gun platoform\nEsplanade Outdoor Stage and the floating gun platoform\nFloating gun platform\nFullerton Promenade\nThe floating gun platform that performed the 21 Gun Salute\nMarina Bay Promenade\nThe entire Marina Bay Area was filled with people wearing red, made for a great sight.\nArrival of the Singapore National Flag\nThis slideshow requires JavaScript.\nThe first “act” of the fly-past was the arrival of the Singapore National Flag suspended under a\nChinook\n Helicopter, was escorted by a pair of\nApache\nAttack Helicopters, an impressive sight.\n50 Formation\nThe 50 formation of\nF16 Fighting Falcons\n, was impressive, the practice paid off!!\nNext up was a flight of\nF15 Eagles\n21 Gun Salute\nThe floating gun platform that performed the 21 Gun Salute\nI know that the tradition is a 21 Gun Salute, but a 50 Gun Salute to celebrate the 50 years of the Republic of Singapore would have been, in my opinion, a nice touch.\nHelicopter and Large Aircraft Fly-past\nThis slideshow requires JavaScript.\nSingapore Black Nights\nFirework Display\nAfter the impressive fly-pasts and aerobatics it was time to for the fireworks display, being the official SG50 Fireworks Display I was expecting an impressive show, especially considering how good the fireworks were for the\nOpening\nand\nClosing\nCeremonies of the 2015 SEA Games. Unfortunately, in my opinion, they were fairly disappointing.\nThis slideshow requires JavaScript.\nThe flypasts and aerobatics were very impressive, but I felt that the fireworks were a bit of anti-climax, still Singapore proved, yet again, that it knows how to put on a great show!! impressive fly-pasts and aerobatics it was time to for the fireworks display, being the official SG50 Fireworks Display I was expecting an impressive show, especially considering how good the fireworks were for the [Opening](https:\/\/ozstravels.com\/sea-games-2015-opening-ceremony-fireworks\/) and [Closing](https:\/\/ozstravels.com\/28th-sea-games-closing-ceremony-fireworks\/) Ceremonies of the 2015 SEA Games. Unfortunately, in my opinion, they were fairly disappointing.\n\nThis slideshow requires JavaScript.\n\nThe flypasts and aerobatics were very impressive, but I felt that the fireworks were a bit of anti-climax, still Singapore proved, yet again, that it knows how to put on a great show!! My comments about the bar are fairly negative, so I won’t mention the place, but it was one of the best locations to be to view the fireworks and aerial show.\n\n[![SG50 National impressive fly-pasts and aerobatics it was time to for the fireworks display, being the official SG50 Fireworks Display I was expecting an impressive show, especially considering how good the fireworks were for the [Opening](https:\/\/ozstravels.com\/sea-games-2015-opening-ceremony-fireworks\/) and [Closing](https:\/\/ozstravels.com\/28th-sea-games-closing-ceremony-fireworks\/) Ceremonies of the 2015 SEA Games. Unfortunately, in my opinion, they were fairly disappointing.\n\nThis slideshow requires JavaScript.\n\nThe flypasts and aerobatics were very impressive, but I felt that the fireworks were a bit of anti-climax, still Singapore proved, yet again, that it knows how to put on a great show!! Boilerpipe Text	SG50 National Day, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Republic of Singapore . Singapore’s National Day is 09 August. As I had no chance to get into the Padang, where the official celebration was being held, I jumped at the chance to spend the night with friends at a bar in Marina Bay where we would have a prime location to watch the fireworks display and the fly-pasts / aerial displays. My comments about the bar are fairly negative, so I won’t mention the place, but it was one of the best locations to be to view the fireworks and aerial show. Fireworks Launch Platform Fireworks Launch Platform Fireworks Launch Platform with the Float in the background Esplanade Outdoor Stage and the floating gun platoform Esplanade Outdoor Stage and the floating gun platoform Esplanade Outdoor Stage and the floating gun platoform Floating gun platform Fullerton Promenade The floating gun platform that performed the 21 Gun Salute Marina Bay Promenade The entire Marina Bay Area was filled with people wearing red, made for a great sight. Arrival of the Singapore National Flag This slideshow requires JavaScript. The first “act” of the fly-past was the arrival of the Singapore National Flag suspended under a Chinook Helicopter, was escorted by a pair of Apache Attack Helicopters, an impressive sight. 50 Formation The 50 formation of F16 Fighting Falcons , was impressive, the practice paid off!! Next up was a flight of F15 Eagles 21 Gun Salute The floating gun platform that performed the 21 Gun Salute I know that the tradition is a 21 Gun Salute, but a 50 Gun Salute to celebrate the 50 years of the Republic of Singapore would have been, in my opinion, a nice touch. Helicopter and Large Aircraft Fly-past This slideshow requires JavaScript. Singapore Black Nights Firework Display After the impressive fly-pasts and aerobatics it was time to for the fireworks display, being the official SG50 Fireworks Display I was expecting an impressive show, especially considering how good the fireworks were for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 2015 SEA Games. Unfortunately, in my opinion, they were fairly disappointing. This slideshow requires JavaScript. Unfortunately, in my opinion, they were fairly disappointing. This slideshow requires JavaScript. The flypasts and aerobatics were very impressive, but I felt that the fireworks were a bit of anti-climax, still Singapore proved, yet again, that it knows how to put on a great show!! Next year, 2016, the National Day Celebrations will be held in and around the Singapore National Stadium, which I have a great view of from my balcony, can’t wait for that\! My comments about the bar are fairly negative, so I won’t mention the place, but it was one of the best locations to be to view the fireworks and aerial show.
