Well, if it's the former there's a good chance you've been doing it 'wrong', according to Gordon Ramsay. In a popular video uploaded to his YouTube channel , the chef shares his tips and tricks on making the very best scrambled eggs. There are plenty of common mistakes people make when whipping up scrambled eggs, according to Gordon Ramsay. Here are a few of them, as reported by the Daily Star . 1. Seasoning the eggs before cooking them Gordon warns home cooks not to season their eggs too early. He advised: “Start off with three eggs and don’t season it. “If you put the salt in now, it breaks down the eggs and starts turning them into something very watery.” Instead of adding salt or pepper, which messes up the consistency, the chef adds butter instead. He explained: “It’s important to put this in right at the beginning because it gives it a nice velvety finish.” 2. Whisking up the eggs too soon The professional cook lifted the lid on another error that amateurs make. Apparently, you should only start scrambling your eggs when they’re on the heat. He advised: “With a simple spatula, (get the mixture) onto the heat and then whisk the egg in the pan. “If you start whisking before putting it in the pan you start breaking it down.” 3. Cooking the eggs on one temperature Gordon says you should keep the temperatures varied, while mixing continuously. This should stop your eggs from over-cooking or going rubbery. He revealed: “The secret behind the scrambled egg is to start it on a generous heat. “Take it off the heat, put it back on the heat, take it off the heat.” 4. Taking a break from stirring You should be very vigilant about how you stir the mixture. Gordon adds: “Treat it like a risotto, you can’t stop stirring. “It’s live, you’ve got to really work at it.” 5. Overcooking the eggs You should take your mixture off the heat early – as residual heat continues the cooking process. Then when your eggs are at a good consistency, cool them down with some creme fraiche. The pro chef added: “It’s not going to overcook because I’m going to put half a tablespoon of creme fraiche. “It makes it a little bit cooler, brings down the temperature of the eggs.” 6. Forgetting to season Eggs lack flavour if they’re not seasoned correctly. Gordon uses salt, pepper and chives to give his brekkie more vibrancy. Completing his scrambled eggs tutorial, he added: “Now I’m gong to season it with a bit of salt and pepper. “Then I’m going to put a bit of chives in there – it just lifts the flavour of the eggs and makes them a little bit more sexy.” And there you have it, the perfect scrambled eggs. |

How do you like your eggs in the morning?
Scrambled, fried, boiled or poached?
Well, if it's the former there's a good chance you've been doing it 'wrong', according to Gordon Ramsay.
In a popular video uploaded to his [YouTube channel](http://v=PUP7U5vTMM0), the chef shares his tips and tricks on making the very best scrambled eggs.
There are plenty of common mistakes people make when whipping up scrambled eggs, according to Gordon Ramsay.
Here are a few of them, as reported by the [Daily Star](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/real-life/youve-been-cooking-scrambled-eggs-21812276).
### 1\. Seasoning the eggs before cooking them
Gordon warns home cooks not to season their eggs too early.
He advised: “Start off with three eggs and don’t season it.
“If you put the salt in now, it breaks down the eggs and starts turning them into something very watery.”
