What happens to the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Avengers 4 ? It remains unclear if, and how, the Avengers movies will continue but Marvel has another answer: The Eternals. The film is in development with no official release date. Cousins Matthew and Ryan Firpo will pen the script directed by ChloĂ© Zhao, and The Hashtag Show claims to know the lineup of characters Marvel fans will see in the film. eternals movie marvel writers development The Eternals arrived in 1976. | Marvel First, who are The Eternals? Jack Kirby's The Eternals debuted for Marvel in 1976, shortly after returning from his run with DC Comics and The New Gods in the early '70s. The Eternals are a race of genetically-engineered people who are millions of years old, created by Celestials alongside the Deviants. The latter have a non-human physical appearance and are depicted as "ugly" and "less than" the Eternals.  deviant eternals movie cast The Eternals and Deviants explained. | Marvel The Eternals are essentially immortal, angelic beings who have a variety of superhuman skills—teleporting, mind-reading, flight, strength, transmutation and more—that can be developed and channeled to varying degrees. The Eternals were established in their own continuity, but once Kirby conceded to folding them into the Marvel Universe, many teamed up with the Avengers. The Eternals lineup via THS According to the report, The Eternals will introduce Eros (a.k.a. Starfox), the brother of Thanos. Remember in Infinity War when Red Skull calls Thanos the Son of A'lars? That's an Eternals name, because Thanos parents are Eternals. He's pretty much the opposite of his brother in that he's a fun, womanizing adventurer. He's known for his persuasion tactics which make people infatuated and pleased by him, which actually lands him on trial for sexcual assult. eros starfox vs thanos eternals movie cast Eros vs. Thanos. | Marvel In addition to two unnamed characters, the report also names Piper, Elysius, Gilgamesh, Ikaris, Sersi, Makkari, Thena, and Zuras. The villain named in the report is Druig. These are all staple characters from the series. More of a surprise is Thanos' brother since it further hints the film might warrant an appearance from Josh Brolin's portrayal of the Mad Titan. Sersi's leading ability is the psionic ability to manipulate molecular and atomic structures, living or not. Makkari is a member of Technologist's Guild, meaning he has great mechanical aptitude. But he's known for his speed, powered by cosmic energy. Thena focuses her abilities into her life force, meaning she has absolute control over her physical self and mortality. Perhaps more interesting, she can initiate the Uni-Mind, a collective being that combines the power and intellect of countless Eternals at once. The-Eternals-3-1976 sersi eternals movie marvel cast Sersi debuted in 'Eternals' #3. | Marvel Zuras is Thena's father and the uncle of Thanos. He's the leader of the Eternals of Earth and was the first Eternal to form the Uni-Mind. Out of this batch of characters, Zuras is the most disciplined and all-around skilled at using Eternal powers. Ikaris is similar to Zuras in that he's generally powerful and lead the Eternals after Zuras' passing. The film is rumored to explore a romance between Sersi and Ikaris. ikaris eternals Ikaris flaunts his strength. | Marvel Gilgamesh, or Forgotten One, is known for his hand-to-hand combat and strength that rivals that of only Thanos. Elysius is unique in that she was artificially created by the Integral Synaptic Anti+/Anionic Computer, basically the AI of Titan, a home of the Eternals. Lastly, a character named "Piper" will have one of the youngest actors on cast, and could be a take on Sprite. In the comics, Sprite has the appearance of a child but is actually very old. He's known to be quite the jokester, so possibly think of her in a Groot-like role. druig eternals movie cast "I am the lord of flame and nightmare. I have killed Deviants by the thousands. Nobody tells me what I can and cannot do." | marvel As for the villain, Druig, he quite sadistic; he's known to enjoy torture and manipulates vulnerable people to become his followers. The report oddly does not include any Deviants, the sworn enemies of the Eternals. Are you excited for Marvel's Eternals film? Any cast members you'd like to see that aren't listed here? Sound off in the comments.

What happens to the Marvel Cinematic Universe after *Avengers 4*? It remains unclear if, and how, the *Avengers* movies will continue but Marvel has another answer: *The Eternals.* The film is in development with no official release date. Cousins Matthew and Ryan Firpo will pen the script directed by ChloĂ© Zhao, and [The Hashtag Show](https://www.thathashtagshow.com/2018/11/16/exclusive-the-eternals-character-lineup-revealed/) claims to know the lineup of characters Marvel fans will see in the film. The Eternals arrived in 1976. \| Marvel #### ***First, who are The Eternals?*** Jack Kirby's The Eternals debuted for Marvel in 1976, shortly after returning from his run with DC Comics and The New Gods in the early '70s. The Eternals are a race of genetically-engineered people who are millions of years old, created by Celestials alongside the Deviants. The latter have a non-human physical appearance and are depicted as "ugly" and "less than" the Eternals. The Eternals and Deviants explained. \| Marvel The Eternals are essentially immortal, angelic beings who have a variety of superhuman skills—teleporting, mind-reading, flight, strength, transmutation and more—that can be developed and channeled to varying degrees. The Eternals were established in their own continuity, but once Kirby conceded to folding them into the Marvel Universe, many teamed up with the Avengers. #### ***The Eternals lineup via THS*** According to the report, The Eternals will introduce Eros (a.k.a. Starfox), the brother of Thanos. Remember in *Infinity War* when Red Skull calls Thanos the Son of A'lars? That's an Eternals name, because Thanos parents are Eternals. He's pretty much the opposite of his brother in that he's a fun, womanizing adventurer. He's known for his persuasion tactics which make people infatuated and pleased by him, which actually lands him on trial for sexcual assult. Eros vs. Thanos. \| Marvel In addition to two unnamed characters, the report also names Piper, Elysius, Gilgamesh, Ikaris, Sersi, Makkari, Thena, and Zuras. Sersi debuted in 'Eternals' \#3. \| Marvel Zuras is Thena's father and the uncle of Thanos. Ikaris flaunts his strength. \| Marvel Gilgamesh, or Forgotten One, is known for his hand-to-hand combat and strength that rivals that of only Thanos. "I am the lord of flame and nightmare. I have killed Deviants by the thousands. Nobody tells me what I can and cannot do." \| marvel As for the villain, Druig, he quite sadistic; he's known to enjoy torture and manipulates vulnerable people to become his followers. The report oddly does not include any Deviants, the sworn enemies of the Eternals. Are you excited for Marvel's *Eternals* film? Any cast members you'd like to see that aren't listed here? Sound off in the comments.
