If you already have health insurance or travel insurance that covers medical expenses, check whether it meets these requirements. Also check whether your policy schedule includes the required information before you apply for a Schengen visa. If your insurer cannot issue proof of insurance bearing your name and containing the other required information, take out insurance with another insurer.Ā  Taking out insurance If you don’t have travel medical insurance or your policy doesn’t meet the requirements, you can find an insurer online by searching for ā€˜Schengen visa health insurance’.Ā  If there is no insurer that offers Schengen visa insurance in your country of residence, you can take out insurance in another country.
