Lithium batteries, non-spillable wet batteries, nickel-metal hydride batteries, and dry batteries for portable electronic devices may only be transported in carry-on luggage.
The terminals of each battery must be protected against accidental short-circuiting (e.g., by transporting them in their original retail packaging or by securing the terminals with a plastic case or tape).
Items primarily intended as power sources, such as power banks, are considered spare batteries.
Lithium-metal batteries: the metal lithium content must not exceed 2 grams. (For reference, an AA battery contains 0.9 grams of lithium).
Lithium-ion batteries: the energy capacity must not exceed 100 Wh.
Non-spillable wet batteries (also known as sealed or non-leakable batteries such as gel, AGM, and SLA batteries)
: the voltage must not exceed 12V, and the energy capacity must not exceed 100 Wh. Each passenger may carry a maximum of 2 non-spillable wet batteries.
Each passenger may carry a maximum of 20 spare batteries of other types.

# Prohibited items and hazardous materials
Hazardous materials are objects or substances that can pose a threat to the aircraft or to people on board. Before packing your luggage, be sure to read our dangerous goods policy.
If the product you wish to transport has one of the following markings on it, it may be dangerous goods.
Check in the table below in which luggage you can carry the product or contact the Contact Centre.

Safely packaged ammunition (only Subclass 1.4S, UN 0012 or UN 0014) in the quantity of up to 5kg gross per person for personal use. One package can contain ammunition belonging to one passenger only.

- Avalanche rescue backpack
One (1) backpack per person permitted, containing compressed gas containers of subclass 2.2. It can be equipped with a pyrotechnic activation mechanism containing not more than 200mg net of subclass 1.4S material. The backpack must be packaged in a way that makes it impossible to be activated accidentally. Backpack airbags must be fitted with pressure release valves.

- Baggage with installed lithium batteries
**that cannot be taken out** and the metal content of lithium exceeds 0.3 g for lithium-metal batteries or 2.7 Wh for lithium-ion batteries.

Non-removable batteries. For lithium-metal batteries, the content of lithium cannot exceed 0.3 g or 2.7 Wh for lithium-ion batteries.

Camping stoves and fuel containers containing no liquid fuel or its fumes.

Incapacitating devices such as tear gas, pepper spray, etc., containing irritants or incapacitating substances are prohibited to carry in both checked and hand luggage.

- Dry ice
Permitted in the quantity of up to 2.5 kg per person, used for the transport of perishable goods which are not dangerous goods. In the packaging that allows gaseous carbon dioxide to escape.
For carriage in checked baggage, the following markings are required: ādry iceā or ācarbon dioxide, solidā with the net weight of dry ice stated or z with the indication that there is 2.5 kg or less of it.

- E-cigarettes
**E-cigarettes** (e-cigars, e-pipes, and other personal inhalation devices) powered by batteries may only be transported in your carry-on luggage. The devices must be secured to prevent accidental activation.
**Using and charging e-cigarettes on board the aircraft is prohibited.**

Powering portable electronic devices containing fuel such as photographic cameras, mobile phones, laptops and cameras.

- Gas cartridges, non-combustible
Gas cartridges, non-combustible, containing carbon dioxide or another appropriate subclass 2.2 gas. Max. two (2) small cells fitted in an inflatable personal protective device intended to be worn by a person, such as a life jacket or vest.
Not more than two (2) devices per passenger and up to two (2) small spare cartridges per one device, not more than four (4) cartridges with water capacity up to 50 ml for other devices.

- Hair styling equipment containing a hydrocarbon gas cartridge (container)
Not more than one (1) per passenger, provided that the heating element is protected by a cover. Never to be used on board an aircraft.

**Portable electronic devices (PEDs), including medical devices such as portable oxygen concentrators (POCs) (please note that devices generating oxygen through a chemical reaction are prohibited for transport)** and consumer electronics such as cameras, mobile phones, laptops, and tablets for personal use by passengers.
For lithium-metal batteries, the lithium content must not exceed 2 grams, and for lithium-ion batteries, the watt-hour (Wh) rating must not exceed 100 Wh.
During transport, devices must be protected from accidental activation and damage.
**Devices in checked baggage must be completely switched off. A maximum of 15 PEDs per person may be carried.**

- Portable electronic devices (PED/PMED)

Max. two spare batteries are permitted in hand luggage only. Such batteries must be individually secured to prevent short circuits.

Lithium-ion batteries powering portable electronic devices (including medical devices), with the capacity to store energy exceeding 100 Wh but not exceeding 160 Wh.
Lithium-metal batteries to power portable medical electronic devices only with the lithium content exceeding 2 g but not exceeding 8 g.
Devices in the checked luggage must be entirely switched off and protected from damage.

- Ordinary matches (one small package) or a small cigarette lighter
That contains no unabsorbed liquid fuel other than liquid gas, intended for personal use. (Zippo lighters containing liquid fuel are prohibited for transport)
Lighter fuel or replaceable containers are not allowed.
***Note: Matches that ignite in all conditions (stormproof matches), āblue flameā lighters or cigar lighters, or lithium battery lighters without a safety cap or means of preventing unintentional activation are prohibited in air transport.***

- Toiletries and medical supplies
Toiletries and medical supplies including aerosols such as hairsprays, perfumes, cologne, medications containing alcohol as well as non-combustible and non-toxic subclass 2.2 aerosols with no additional hazard, for sports or home purposes.
(Example: an antibacterial gel is a medical product containing alcohol ā it has no specified limit of alcohol content)
Total net quantity of non-radioactive medical supplies or toiletries and non-flammable and non-toxic subclass 2.2 aerosols cannot exceed 2 kg or 2 l and the net quantity of a single article cannot exceed 0.5 kg or 0.5 l.
Aerosol valves must be protected by a cap or other means to prevent an accidental release of the contents.

Do not attach any additional items to the checked baggage that may become detached during transport. The carrier shall not be liable for their loss.
ATTENTION! The carrier can refuse to accept the checked luggage if it is not packaged in such a way as to guarantee safe carriage with ordinary diligent handling. PLL LOT recommends an accurate labelling of baggage with a tag/address label. The carrier shall not be responsible for any breakable and perishable items transported in the luggage as well as for the money, jewellery and other valuable objects, documents, trade samples, etc. The transport of such items shall be at the sole risk and responsibility of the passenger.

Hazardous materials cannot be brought on board in the checked or hand luggage except in cases listed below. You can bring dangerous goods permitted in hand luggage on board unless otherwise specified.

Spare batteries and batteries
**Lithium batteries, non-spillable wet batteries, nickel-metal hydride batteries, and dry batteries for portable electronic devices may only be transported in carry-on luggage.** The terminals of each battery must be protected against accidental short-circuiting (e.g., by transporting them in their original retail packaging or by securing the terminals with a plastic case or tape).
Items primarily intended as power sources, such as power banks, are considered spare batteries.
Lithium-metal batteries: the metal lithium content must not exceed 2 grams. (For reference, an AA battery contains 0.9 grams of lithium).
**Lithium-ion batteries: the energy capacity must not exceed 100 Wh.**
**Non-spillable wet batteries (also known as sealed or non-leakable batteries such as gel, AGM, and SLA batteries)**: the voltage must not exceed 12V, and the energy capacity must not exceed 100 Wh. Each passenger may carry a maximum of 2 non-spillable wet batteries.
**Each passenger may carry a maximum of 20 spare batteries of other types.**
