The shops here sell everything from gold jewellery to fresh flowers. Little India is a nice place to wander around for hours.\n7. Orchard Road\nIf you love shopping then Orchard Road is where you need to be. This iconic stretch is packed with malls, designer boutiques, big-name brands and trendy restaurants. The Southern Ridges is a 10-km trail that connects four different parks. You can start (or end — it’s totally up to you) at the base of Mount Faber near HarbourFront MRT station. One of the trail’s highlights is Henderson Waves – Singapore’s highest pedestrian bridge- featuring a wave-like design that offers panoramic views of the city skyline and lush greenery. Along the trail, you can explore the green hills of Mount Faber, Telok Blangah Hill, and Kent Ridge, as well as the rich biodiversity of Labrador Nature Reserve. Gardens by the Bay The main attraction at Gardens by the Bay is the iconic Supertrees, which are towering structures shaped like trees with expansive canopies. Of course, the highlight is the Garden Rhapsody light show , held twice a day at 7:45 PM and 8:45 PM. We originally went to the first show of the night and loved it so much that we stayed for the second #noregrets Other must-visit spots include the beautifully maintained gardens, the Flower Dome , and the Cloud Forest – both absolutely worth exploring. Arab Street Kampong Glam is a gem you have to explore, and it all starts with Arab Street. This lively area is packed with shops, restaurants, and some truly beautiful landmarks like the Sultan Mosque and Haji Lane. The Sultan Mosque is the star of Arab Street—it’s the largest mosque in Singapore, and its stunning golden dome is hard to miss. People from all over come here just to admire it. While you’re in the area, make sure to wander down Haji Lane. It’s one of the most colourful and creative corners of Singapore, with incredible street art at every turn. The lane is filled with boutique shops, quirky souvenirs, and cosy coffee spots that are perfect for a chilled-out morning or afternoon. Then there is Fort Siloso. This spot is often overlooked, but we loved it. Fort Siloso is a restored World War II coastal fort turned military museum. The interactive exhibits and tours bring history to life and give you a fascinating glimpse into Singapore’s past. 6. Little India Take a stroll through Little India and explore the beautiful mosques, temples, eye-catching street art and iconic shophouses painted in bright colours. The shops here sell everything from gold jewellery to fresh flowers. Little India is a nice place to wander around for hours. 7. Orchard Road If you love shopping then Orchard Road is where you need to be. This iconic stretch is packed with malls, designer boutiques, big-name brands and trendy restaurants. Even though this is the shopping hub of the country many of the mals are architectural masterpieces and if you are lucky enough to visit during the festive season, you are in for a treat. 8. Central Fire Station & Old Hill Street Police Station The Central Fire Station , also known as the “Red House,” is Singapore’s oldest fire station and is still in use today. Its red-and-white brick design makes it stand out and is honestly one of the prettiest buildings in the area. Inside, there’s the Civil Defence Heritage Gallery, where you can see vintage fire engines and learn about how firefighting has evolved in Singapore. It’s such a cool way to connect with the city’s past, and there’s something so fascinating about seeing how fire safety grew alongside Singapore. Not far from there is the Old Hill Street Police Station , and trust me, you can’t miss it. With 927 rainbow-coloured windows, it’s one of the most eye-catching buildings in Singapore.
