2 slices of white bread
150ml milk
1 white onion
250g beef mince
250g pork mince
1 white onion
1 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp allspice
1 tsp white pepper
3 ice cubes
To make the meatballs, soak your bread in a shallow dish with 150ml milk.
Add to a blender with your onion and blitz until your onion is finely chopped. Add your mince, flour, allspice, white pepper and ice cubes and whizz until combined into a paste.
Roll your mix into ping-pong sized balls and dust with flour. You can choose to freeze them at this point!
Heat a pan on medium to high heat with 1 tbsp oil. Add your meatballs and fry for 8-10minutes. Turn them often for an even golden crust.
50g of butter
1 tbsp of plain flour
2 beef stock cubes
150ml of thick double cream
To make the cream sauce (allemansträtten) melt 50g butter in a pan on low heat. Add 1 tbsp plain flour to create a small ball. Cook for 2-3 minutes to get rid of the floury taste. Add 150ml double cream, 400ml boiling water and 2 beef stock cubes. Whisk until you have a smooth thickened sauce. Season and pour over your meatballs. |
