Minecraft's Shipwrecks are wooden generated structures that can appear in all Ocean biomes, as well as Beaches and Snowy Beaches. They are unique in that they have a wide variety of forms, including a full ship, half the ship, their orientation, and even decayed. How much of the ship is present will affect how many Chests can be found there: a full ship can have up to three. Shipwrecks are also unique among other generated structures to have Chests that fill specific roles depending on what sections of the ship are available. Supply Chests are in bows, Map Chests are in the stern's brig, and Treasure Chests are in the stern's quarters. See below for the items you can expect to find in them. Use the links below to jump to a particular topic: How to Find a Shipwreck Shipwreck Loot How to Find a Shipwreck Shipwrecks can be found by using an Explorer Map, which incidentally can be found in Shipwrecks themselves. The other method is to use Dolphins, who appear in most Ocean Biomes, except for Frozen ones. If you feed one Raw Cod or Raw Salmon, they will swim to the nearest Buried Treasure, Shipwreck or Ocean Ruins. If you're led to a Shipwreck or Buried Treasure, you can break the Chests within them and feed the Dolphin again to be led to a new location. The last method is to find a Cartographer Villager (who wears a monocle and has a Cartography Table in their home); Apprentice Level Cartographers can give you one an Ocean Explorer Map for 13 Emeralds and a Compass. Shipwreck Loot As noted above, the various Chests found inside a Shipwreck will have contents that vary depending on where in the ship they are. Chests found in the bow of the ship are Supply Chests, and can have some of the following items: Bamboo Carrot Coal Enchanted Leather Armor Gunpowder Moss Block Paper Poisonous Potato Potato Pumpkin Rotten Flesh Suspicious Stew TNT Wheat Chests found in the brig of the ship's stern are Map Chests, and can have some of the following items: Book Buried Treasure Map (guaranteed) Clock Compass Empty Map Feather Paper Chests found in the quarters of the ship's stern are Treasure Chests, and can have some of the following items: Bottle o' Enchanting Diamond Emerald Gold Ingot Gold Nugget Iron Ingot Iron Nugget Lapis Lazuli Was this guide helpful?
