The decision to receive a COVID-19 vaccine should be a shared clinical decision-making process between you and your doctor. We urge you to consult your doctor prior to receiving a COVID vaccine or before vaccinating your children. In May 2025, Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced that COVID-19 vaccines were removed from the CDC’s recommended immunization schedule for healthy children and pregnant women. FDA-Approved COVID-19 Vaccines There are currently three vaccines approved by the FDA: Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) Fully approved for ages 12 and older; emergency use authorization (EUA) for ages 6 months through 11 years Moderna (Spikevax) Fully approved for ages 12 and older; emergency use authorization (EUA) for ages 6 months through 11 years Novavax (Nuvaxovid) Fully approved for ages 65 and older, and those ages 12 through 64 who have at least one health condition that puts them at increased risk for a severe outcome from COVID
