Step it up with the N-Line model and its 1.6L turbocharged engine, which reaches 201 horsepower with ease. But, if you want seriously impressive fuel economy, shoot for the hybrid trims. These can net you up to 54 mpge, which is leagues ahead of most hybrid competitors. The Elantra might be a more economical option over the larger Sonata, but that doesn’t mean you need to settle for a boring, underpowered engine.
