Travel to Ireland is subject to separate Common Travel Area arrangements. Check your passport issue and expiry date If you're planning to visit the Schengen Area you should do the following checks: look at the issue date. On the day you plan to arrive, will your passport have had its tenth birthday? The answer should be no look at the expiry date. On the day you plan to come back, will your passport have at least 3 months remaining? The answer should be yes If your passport does not meet these criteria, you may be denied entry to any of the Schengen Area Countries.
