Taking a screenshot on a Mac is super easy! Here are the different methods you can use: Using Keyboard Shortcuts: Entire Screen:  Press  Shift-Command-3 . This will capture your entire screen and save it as a PNG file on your desktop. Selected Area:  Press  Shift-Command-4 . Your cursor will turn into a crosshair. Click and drag to select the area you want to capture. Release the mouse button to save the screenshot. Specific Window:  Press  Shift-Command-4 , then press the  Spacebar . Your cursor will turn into a camera icon. Hover over the window you want to capture and click. The screenshot will be saved to your desktop. Using the Screenshot Tool: Open  Launchpad  and find the  Screenshot  app. You’ll see a panel with different options: Capture the entire screen:  Click the first button. Capture a window:  Click the second button, then click the window you want to capture. Capture a portion of the screen:  Click the third button, then drag the frame to select the area you want to capture. Record the entire screen:  Click the fourth button. Record a portion of the screen:  Click the fifth button, then drag the frame to select the area you want to record. You can also use the  Options  button to set a timer delay, show the mouse pointer, and choose where to save the screenshot.
