Airport Tips July 12, 2018 Travelers generally have a pretty good idea of what they can and can’t carry through the Transportation Security Administration checkpoint at the airport. It probably comes as a surprise to exactly nobody, for example, that meat cleavers are not permitted. But sometimes it’s not so clear. A jar of peanut butter? Nope, not allowed as a carry-on in containers bigger than 3.4 ounces. What about a bowling pin? Sorry, better check it. Curious to know what has been confiscated at TSA checkpoints around the country? Follow TSA on  Instagram . Suitcases and Carry-ons TSA has specific guidelines for passengers to follow to make sure all flights are safe and secure.  Take a look through the following list of prohibited or restricted items for some fun reading, and visit https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring/all for more details.
