In Aspen, it’s like a powder day every day when it comes to all things sartorial — except less calories are burned and more money is spent. \nIf you suddenly feel like you’re seeing plaid everywhere you look, you don’t need an eye test: Burberry has arrived in Aspen with a pop-up in The Aspen Times Room at the Hotel Jerome from March 12 to 15. Expect the Hotel Jerome courtyard to be dressed in the dapper Burberry check, including everything from the outdoor bar, which will be serving drinks, to the tiny skating rink, which will be serving children whose parents need a five-minute break. \nThe pop-up will feature a curated range of the UK-based brand’s product from the Summer 2026 runway (You might as well give up and start shopping for warm weather), in addition to a selection of women’s and men’s pieces only available only in Aspen. (And we\nall\nknow Aspenites love something exclusive and hard to get.)\nA Burberry-check scarf.\nCourtesy photo\nThere will also be what is known as “house icons,” including Heritage rainwear, scarves and accessories. A dedicated Polo Gallery, showcasing an expanded assortment of Burberry’s signature polo shirt, will have you even more prepared to toss those skis to the side in favor of golf clubs. There will even be a visiting tailor stitching custom-illustrated labels onto select scarves and trenches. I personally feel it might be time to invest in the most iconic of all Burberry pieces — a trench, of course. Not that it rains here anymore — or snows — but trenches are always chic, so whatever. Over at Gondola Plaza, the Burberry-check mania continues with a branded coffee and cocoa cart on Friday and Saturday. Get your caffeine or sugar fix, and head to the Jerome to shop the Brit brand’s classically chic styles. \nA few other things to note: If you haven’t been in the new Moncler Grenoble boutique, I HIGHLY recommend you take a cruise through it. It’s the first Moncler Grenoble-dedicated U.S. flagship boutique,  and it’s truly spectacular. The same goes for the FoundRae store, which redefines what a jewelry boutique should look like. I can feel myself beginning to give in and just accept that my powder skis and heaviest coats didn’t get their due this season. I’m sorry, giant-wool-Celine-sweater-I-splurged-on-last-year — I wanted to wear you, I really did! It just wasn’t possible this time around. Alas, there is always next season (for skiing and for that sweater) — and, knowing Aspen, that big snowstorm will likely arrive in June. Sigh. We couldn’t count on snow this season, but you can certainly count on fashion events continuing to happen because, while the skiing hasn’t been great, the shopping events have been gold-medal worthy. In Aspen, it’s like a powder day every day when it comes to all things sartorial — except less calories are burned and more money is spent. If you suddenly feel like you’re seeing plaid everywhere you look, you don’t need an eye test: Burberry has arrived in Aspen with a pop-up in The Aspen Times Room at the Hotel Jerome from March 12 to 15. Expect the Hotel Jerome courtyard to be dressed in the dapper Burberry check, including everything from the outdoor bar, which will be serving drinks, to the tiny skating rink, which will be serving children whose parents need a five-minute break. * * The pop-up will feature a curated range of the UK-based brand’s product from the Summer 2026 runway (You might as well give up and start shopping for warm weather), in addition to a selection of women’s and men’s pieces only available only in Aspen. A dedicated Polo Gallery, showcasing an expanded assortment of Burberry’s signature polo shirt, will have you even more prepared to toss those skis to the side in favor of golf clubs. There will even be a visiting tailor stitching custom-illustrated labels onto select scarves and trenches. I personally feel it might be time to invest in the most iconic of all Burberry pieces — a trench, of course. Not that it rains here anymore — or snows — but trenches are always chic, so whatever. Over at Gondola Plaza, the Burberry-check mania continues with a branded coffee and cocoa cart on Friday and Saturday. Get your caffeine or sugar fix, and head to the Jerome to shop the Brit brand’s classically chic styles. * * A few other things to note: If you haven’t been in the new Moncler Grenoble boutique, I HIGHLY recommend you take a cruise through it. It’s the first Moncler Grenoble-dedicated U.S. flagship boutique, and it’s truly spectacular. The same goes for the FoundRae store, which redefines what a jewelry boutique should look like.
