| Boilerpipe Text | The Trump family is back in the spotlight after Republican nominee and former president
Donald Trump
won the polls last week
in a decisive and
stunning victory
over
Vice President Kamala Harris
, securing a second term in office.
While Trump won't be sworn until Jan. 20, 2025, all eyes are on the family and who will be accompanying the president-elect during his second tenure, especially since his daughter Ivanka Trump and son-in-law Jared Kushner
served as senior advisers
during his first term.
Republican presidential nominee and former U.S. President Donald Trump dances accompanied by Melania Trump and Barron Trump, after speaking following early results from the 2024 U.S. presidential election in Palm Beach County Convention Center, in West Palm Beach, Florida, U.S., November 6, 2024.
Despite making limited appearances during his father's third presidential campaign, Trump's youngest child, Barron Trump, has created a stir on social media with
reports suggesting
that he was active behind the scenes, advising Trump on how to connect with younger, Gen Z voters and appearing with popular streamers such as Adin Ross and Bussin' With The Boys. Trump has even credited Barron for convincing him to appear on
Joe Rogan's podcast
,
TODAY reported
. The podcast is close to hitting 50 million views, as of Wednesday afternoon.
Married three times,
Trump has five children and 10 grandchildren
. Here's what to know about the president-elect's youngest child, Barron.
Who is Barron Trump? Mother, siblings
U.S. President Donald Trump, first lady Melania Trump and their son Barron Trump walk across the South Lawn before leaving the White House on board Marine One November 26, 2019 in Washington, D.C.
Barron, who turned 18 this year, is the president-elect's youngest son and only child with wife, former supermodel Melania Trump.
He has four half-siblings: Donald Trump Jr., 46, Ivanka Trump, 43, Eric Trump, 40 and Tiffany Trump, 31.
Barron spent much of his childhood at the Trump Tower in Manhattan, living there until his father was sworn in as the 45th president in early 2017, according to the
Palm Beach Post, part of the USA TODAY NETWORK
.
Barron moved into the White House
when he was only 11 and lived there with his parents until 2019, when the family
permanently relocated
to Trump's private club, Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.
Barron Trump (L) smiles as his father US President Donald Trump speaks during the pardoning the Thanksgiving turkey Drumstick in the Rose Garden of the White House in Washington, DC, on November 21, 2017.
On Election Day 2024,
Melania posted a picture of her son
filling out his ballot paper at the voting booth on social media with the caption: "Voted for the first time - for his dad!"
What college does Barron Trump attend?
Barron Trump is a freshman at New York University's Stern School of Business, his
father revealed on Sept. 4
.
Barron Trump graduates from Oxbridge Academy. His parents, former President Trump and wife Melania attended the ceremony on Friday, May 17, 2024 in West Palm Beach.
The youngest child of the president-elect completed his high school education from Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach, Florida, before starting fall 2024 classes at NYU.
Barron's decision to attend college in New York is a step away from the family tradition of attending either University of Pennsylvania or Georgetown University, both of which have strong ties to the Trump family. Donald Trump and his other children — Donald Trump Jr.,
Ivanka Trump
, Eric Trump and Tiffany Trump — have attended or graduated from the prestigious universities in Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C., respectively.
However, there is one family member who has ties to NYU. Barron's brother-in-law Jared Kushner. Kushner, who is married to Barron’s half-sister Ivanka, has an undergraduate degree from Harvard and business and law degrees from New York University, according to the Palm Beach Post.
How tall is Barron Trump?
At 6-foot-7, Barron is the tallest of the Trump siblings, and rises almost four inches above his father, who is listed as
6 feet 3 inches
, although some reports say he's actually 6'2, the Palm Beach Post reported. Barron's mother, Melania Trump, is 5'11, while half-brothers Donald Trump Jr. and Eric are 6'1 and 6'5, respectively.
Google lists Barron's height at 6 feet, 9 inches, putting him in the same league as NBA giants including LeBron James, Karl Malone, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird. However, the Palm Beach Post reported the 18-year-old was 6'7 at his high graduation ceremony in May 2024. Still, a 2-inch growth spurt is possible. Though most men stop growing at 18, after puberty, some may continue to grow into their early 20s, depending on their genetics,
according to HealthLine

The Magnificent Seven have been running out of fuel well before we rang in the new year. And while the Mag Seven may have clocked in the most underwhelming first three weeks of the year in quite a while (the Mag Seven usually start new years with strength rather than weakness), I certainly wouldn't hit the panic button just yet. It was just a matter of time before the market strength broadened beyond the Mag Seven stocks, which have been heavy lifters of the S\&P 500 for such a long time.
Given the lifting they've done over the past five years, I'd argue that a nice quarter (or more) of a breather is more than warranted. Of course, even if the Mag Seven exploded higher in the first three weeks of the year, I'm sure that we'd be hearing about how anxiety-inducing it is that the cohort is becoming overrepresented in the S\&P 500. Indeed, overconcentration risk was a hot topic just over four months ago, when it seemed like the Mag Seven were unstoppable.
## Jim Cramer isn't bailing on the Mag Seven, and neither should investors
While it's easy to dump the Mag Seven and other tech titans while showing more love to the 493 other stocks in the S\&P 500, I do think that investors shouldn't make too much of the past quarter of sideways action. Mad Money host Jim Cramer said that he's not abandoning the Magnificent Seven, and I think he's spot-on to continue standing by the cohort as they move through a more challenging time right ahead of quarterly earnings season.
While things could go either way come earnings, I do think that Cramer is spot on when he says the group of seven companies "have too many levers, \[and\] too much money."
Even if AI bubble fears or concentration risks resurface, I think it's far too easy to be negative on the names, especially considering close to half of the Mag Seven have already taken a hit. With shares of the Mag Seven inching higher ahead of earnings, perhaps it won't take too long before we all forget about the dreadful first three weeks of 2026 that the group had collectively. In any case, Alphabet and **Amazon** ([NASDAQ:AMZN](https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/AMZN/)) have been notable year-to-date gainers.
## The Magnificent Seven have cooled down, but that's no reason to sell
The **Roundhill Magnificent Seven ETF** ([MAGS](https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/MAGS/)), the go-to gauge to judge the performance of the group, may have sunk close to 4% year to date at its worst. But much of the weakness has since been recovered in the last couple of sessions. Of course, volatility is sure to pick up as the earnings come due.
And given that good results are no guarantee of rising share prices, investors should be ready for just about anything, including further downside from these levels. Even if the Mag Seven shifts lower, I believe Jim Cramer's encouraging commentary should not go ignored. At the end of the day, Cramer was astute in pointing out that the seven firms are run by people who are "too smart to bet against."
He's absolutely right to point out the exceptional stewards behind the seven companies. Whether we're talking about **Alphabet** ([NASDAQ:GOOGL](https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/GOOGL/)) star CEO Sundar Pichai or the legendary **Apple** ([NASDAQ:AAPL](https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/AAPL/)) CEO Tim Cook, these are not folks that investors would want to bet against, even if the tides are turning against them.
Between the massive year-to-date winners (think the memory chip firms) and the stalling Mag Seven, I'd have to go with the latter, even though I'm not so sure when investors will rotate back into the mega-cap tech titans ahead of another big year for the AI boom. While I don't always agree with Cramer, I think not bailing on the Mag Seven is the right call to make, even if it means more nail-biting moments ahead as the group reports and investors react.
## It’s Time To Rethink Passive Investing
For more than a decade, the investing advice aimed at everyday Americans followed a familiar script: automate everything, keep costs low, and don’t touch a thing. And increasingly, investors are realizing that **being completely hands-off also means being completely disengaged.**
That realization hits like a lightning bolt when you realize not just how much better your returns could be, but that there are amazing offers like one app where new self-directed investing accounts funded with as little as \$50 [can receive stock worth up to \$1,000.](https://247wallst.com/investors-rethink-hands-off-investing-and-decide-to-make-real-money/?utm_source=yahoo&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=feed&tpid=1554666&utm_content=feed||1554666&site=247wallst)

Starbucks reported strong fiscal first quarter as holiday drinks and a viral bear cup helped drive sales.
Same-store sales – or sales at locations open at least a year – rose 4% for the October-December period. That was higher than the 2.3% that Wall Street was expecting, according to analysts polled by FactSet.
Same-store sales in the U.S. were also up 4%, with a 3% increase in transactions and a 1% increase in spending per visit. That was the best U.S. performance for the company in two years.
Shares of the Seattle coffee giant jumped more than 6% before the opening bell Wednesday.
Starbucks Chairman and CEO Brian Niccol said the results were evidence that the company's turnaround plan is taking hold. Over the last year, Starbucks has been adding staff and equipment to stores to ensure faster and friendlier service and better sequence its mobile orders.
Starbucks is also adding seating and updating stores to make them cozier and more welcoming. Niccol said around 200 stores have been redecorated so far and more than 1,000 will get that treatment by this fall.
“We have a plan, we are working the plan, and the plan is working," Niccol said Wednesday during a conference call with investors. “The shine is back on our brand, both in the U.S. and around the world.”
Niccol warned that the turnaround may not be linear. But the company does expect to turn around lagging sales this year. Starbucks said it expects global same-store sales and revenue to grow 3% or more in its 2026 fiscal year. Starbucks' global same-store sales fell 1% in its previous fiscal year.
Niccol said Starbucks delivered record revenue during its holiday launch week. One “Lucky Strike extra,” Niccol said, was the \$29.95 glass Bearista cups, which sold out almost immediately after they were introduced. On Wednesday, an authentic Bearista cup was selling for \$119.99 on eBay.
U.S. traffic was up despite a strike by more than 1,000 unionized Starbucks workers, who hoped to disrupt Starbucks’ [Red Cup Day](https://apnews.com/article/starbucks-strike-red-cup-day-7c07617260ea1c4760410e29b4509b6b), which is typically one of the company’s busiest days of the year. Since 2018, Starbucks has given out free, reusable cups on that day to customers who buy a holiday drink. The strike closed some stores, but only briefly.
Some U.S. stores also gained customers after Starbucks [closed nearly 600 stores](https://apnews.com/article/starbucks-close-stores-layoffs-3aa70c7d3828520855998a490ebe865b) in North America in September. The company said it was closing the stores to focus its resources on better performers.
Starbucks also had a strong quarter in China, where same-store sales were up 7%.
In November, Starbucks announced it was [forming a joint venture](https://apnews.com/article/starbucks-china-stake-boyu-capital-coffee-290006ba2eec33168b42985eb6576818) with Chinese investment firm Boyu Capital to operate Starbucks stores in China. Under the agreement, Boyu will acquire a 60% interest in Starbucks’ retail operations in China, which is valued at \$4 billion. Starbucks will retain a 40% interest in the joint venture and will own and license the Starbucks brand.
Revenue rose 6% to \$9.9 billion for the quarter, also beating Wall Street expectations for \$9.65 billion.
Starbucks said its margins have been pressured by investments in labor as well as tariffs on coffee. But some of those costs should abate as this year progresses, Chief Financial Officer Cathy Smith said. In November, President [Donald Trump](https://apnews.com/hub/donald-trump) announced he was scrapping [U.S. tariffs](https://apnews.com/hub/tariffs) on beef, coffee, tropical fruits and a broad swath of other commodities.
Adjusted for one-time items, Starbucks earned 56 cents per share in the quarter. That was lower than the 59-cent profit Wall Street was expecting.

President Donald Trump appealed to Iraqis on Tuesday to not reinstate the controversial former Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to a new term because of his [alleged corruption](https://www.foxnews.com/category/corruption) and severe mismanagement of the country’s economy and security situation.
Trump wrote on the [Truth Social platform](https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/115968824541011312): "I’m hearing that the Great Country of Iraq might make a very bad choice by reinstalling Nouri al-Maliki as Prime Minister. Last time Maliki was in power, the Country descended into poverty and total chaos. That should not be allowed to happen again. Because of his insane policies and ideologies, if elected, the United States of America will no longer help Iraq and, if we are not there to help, Iraq has ZERO chance of Success, Prosperity, or Freedom. MAKE IRAQ GREAT AGAIN!"
A parliamentary session was slated for Tuesday to elect a president, who would then appoint the prime minister. The meeting was canceled because of a lack of a quorum.

Al-Maliki fired back at Trump on Wednesday, stating, "We reject the blatant American interference in Iraq’s internal affairs and consider it a violation of its sovereignty."
The Trump administration vehemently opposes al-Maliki attempts to secure a third term because of his close ties to [the Islamic Republic of Iran](https://www.foxnews.com/category/world/conflicts/iran) — a state-sponsor of terrorism, according to the U.S. State Department.

Al-Maliki’s previous premiership (2006 to 2014) was plagued by sectarian violence, including his reported failure to form an inclusive government that did not discriminate against Iraqi Kurds and Sunni Muslims in favor of Shiite Muslims.
Secretary of State [Marco Rubio](https://www.foxnews.com/category/person/marco-rubio) told caretaker Prime Minister al-Sudani on Sunday that the U.S. was concerned about a pro-Iran government seizing control of the Iraqi state.
"The Secretary emphasized that a government controlled by Iran cannot successfully put Iraq’s own interests first, keep Iraq out of regional conflicts, or advance the mutually beneficial partnership between the United States and Iraq," said U.S. State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott.

Al-Maliki ended his second term in 2014 after the Obama administration’s growing frustration with his security blind spots that saw the rise of the Islamic State in the same year across a large swathe of Iraqi and Syrian territory.
Al-Sudani secured the most seats in November’s parliamentary elections but withdrew his candidacy this month. The 75-year-old al-Maliki, from the Shiite Islamist Dawa Party, tossed his hat in the political ring and won the support of the Coordination Framework, a collection of Shia parties that is the largest parliamentary bloc.

Entifadh Qanbar, a former spokesman for the deputy prime minister of Iraq, told Fox News Digital that "Iran has exercised tremendous influence over Iraq. [Ayatollah Khamenei](https://www.foxnews.com/category/person/ali-khamenei) personally ‘blessed’ Nouri al-Maliki’s nomination. Even if Maliki is ultimately dropped, Iran will simply nominate another candidate who is secretly acceptable to Washington. That individual may even be given leeway to say the right things publicly in order to appease the U.S., while remaining fully aligned with Tehran behind the scenes."
Qanbar, who worked as a civil engineer in Iraq, added, "As for the Iraqi elections, the process itself has been systematically engineered to ensure that Iran’s proxies win without meaningful resistance. These elections are not contests between Iranian-backed factions and genuine alternatives; rather, they are mechanisms to divide votes among groups already approved by Iran. Any real dissent has been banned, imprisoned, or eliminated."
He noted that "I have often used the analogy that Iraqi elections resemble a soccer match with only one goal, no goalkeeper and only one team allowed on the field," and warned, "the United States fails to see these structural manipulations."

Iran-backed Shi'ite groups fighters celebrate on a street, after the IRGC attack on Israel, in Basra, Iraq, Oct. 1, 2024.
An Iraqi Kurdish official also echoed the view that Iran has gained greater control of Iraqi power politics. The official told Fox News Digital that, "Under Sudani’s government, Iran’s proxies have doubled on the state payroll and receive over \$3 billion a year. He established the Muhandes company — the PMF’s investment wing, securing public contracts and buying weapons."
The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) is an umbrella organization of Shiite militias loyal to the Islamic Republic of Iran. The PMF wields enormous power in Iraq.

The Iraqi Kurdish official said, "Economically, Iran’s oil blending in Basra has been formalized with official state support. Financially, Iraq’s state and private banks have funneled billions in U.S. dollar bills into Iran under Sudani, bringing Tehran critical relief against [U.S. sanctions](https://www.foxnews.com/category/politics/finance/sanctions)."
The official added, "Iran, of course, has always been ahead of the curve in Iraq. When the pro-Western candidate Ayad Allawi beat Maliki in the 2010 elections, it was the Americans who handed Maliki a second term — an odd moment of alignment with Iran against their own preferred outcome." He said he hopes the U.S. won't make the same mistake again.

## Who is Barron Trump? Mother, siblings

U.S. President Donald Trump, first lady Melania Trump and their son Barron Trump walk across the South Lawn before leaving the White House on board Marine One November 26, 2019 in Washington, D.C.
Barron, who turned 18 this year, is the president-elect's youngest son and only child with wife, former supermodel Melania Trump.
He has four half-siblings: Donald Trump Jr., 46, Ivanka Trump, 43, Eric Trump, 40 and Tiffany Trump, 31.
Barron spent much of his childhood at the Trump Tower in Manhattan, living there until his father was sworn in as the 45th president in early 2017, according to the [Palm Beach Post, part of the USA TODAY NETWORK](https://www.palmbeachpost.com/story/news/2024/11/06/how-tall-barron-trump-melania-height-lebron-james/76088465007/). ## What college does Barron Trump attend?
Barron Trump is a freshman at New York University's Stern School of Business, his [father revealed on Sept. 4](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13778655/barron-trump-college-nyu-stern-business-donald-son.html).

Donald Trump and his other children — Donald Trump Jr., [Ivanka Trump](https://www.palmbeachpost.com/story/news/2024/08/28/ivanka-trump-jared-kushner-melania-florida/74964543007/), Eric Trump and Tiffany Trump — have attended or graduated from the prestigious universities in Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C., respectively.
However, there is one family member who has ties to NYU. Barron's brother-in-law Jared Kushner. Kushner, who is married to Barron’s half-sister Ivanka, has an undergraduate degree from Harvard and business and law degrees from New York University, according to the Palm Beach Post.
## How tall is Barron Trump?
At 6-foot-7, Barron is the tallest of the Trump siblings, and rises almost four inches above his father, who is listed as [6 feet 3 inches](https://potus.com/presidential-facts/presidential-heights/), although some reports say he's actually 6'2, the Palm Beach Post reported.
Though most men stop growing at 18, after puberty, some may continue to grow into their early 20s, depending on their genetics, [according to HealthLine](https://www.healthline.com/health/do-guys-keep-growing-until-age-25).
