A made it in my slow cooker. Did the frying as indicated, then cooked it on high for 4 hours. Added the dairy, and served it once the dairy was melted.Changes made: Did you say 1 cup of mushrooms? I used French's Dijon mustard that had chardonnay in with it, ribeye instead of chuck roast, used half the red pepper flakes, and I added about an eighth a cup of heavy cream to it. The original was great enough to try doctoring it a bit this second time, so you can see what your tastes prefer! We did not substitute anything. The only thing we did different was cooked the meat in the slow cooker to make sure it was very tender. I didn’t actually eat any because I’m on a strict diet but husband said it was yummy. Put a spoonful of sour cream on top of his plateful.
