This ground beef stroganoff recipe makes a quick and easy dinner in just 30 minutes. It's creamy, comforting, and always a hit with my family! We love it served over noodles, but it's just as delicious over mashed potatoes or rice. Prep Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins Total Time: 30 mins Servings: 6 Keep Screen Awake Ingredients 1/2x 1x 2x Original recipe (1X) yields 6 servings 1 pound lean ground beef 1/2 cup chopped onion 1 (4.5-ounce) can mushrooms, drained 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder 2 tablespoons all purpose flour 1 cup beef broth 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper or to taste 1 (8-ounce) package wide egg noodles ½ cup sour cream freshly chopped parsley for garnishing Directions Cook ground beef, onion, mushrooms, garlic powder, and mustard powder in a large skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly, 6 to 8 minutes. Sprinkle flour evenly over beef mixture and stir well until coated. Stir in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper, scraping up browned bits with a wooden spoon. Bring to a simmer and cook until slightly thickened, 10 to 15 minutes. Meanwhile, cook egg noodles in a large pot of boiling salted water until tender, about 7 to 9 minutes; drain. Remove beef stroganoff from heat; stir in sour cream until blended and heated through. Serve over hot egg noodles and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. My wife also replaced the actual mushrooms with 1 can of cream of mushroom soup, added a little bit extra garlic and some freshly crushed black pepper. We eliminated the Mayo because of my cholesterol. No, this isn't Gourmet Food! LOL But it IS very delicious and filling! This ground beef stroganoff recipe makes a quick and easy dinner in just 30 minutes. It's creamy, comforting, and always a hit with my family! We love it served over noodles, but it's just as delicious over mashed potatoes or rice. Prep Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins Total Time: 30 mins Servings: 6 Keep Screen Awake Ingredients 1/2x 1x 2x Original recipe (1X) yields 6 servings - 1 pound lean ground beef - 1/2 cup chopped onion - 1 (4.5-ounce) can mushrooms, drained - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder - 2 tablespoons all purpose flour - 1 cup beef broth - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce - 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper or to taste - 1 (8-ounce) package wide egg noodles - ½ cup sour cream - freshly chopped parsley for garnishing ## Directions 1. Cook ground beef, onion, mushrooms, garlic powder, and mustard powder in a large skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly, 6 to 8 minutes. 2. Sprinkle flour evenly over beef mixture and stir well until coated. Stir in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper, scraping up browned bits with a wooden spoon. Bring to a simmer and cook until slightly thickened, 10 to 15 minutes. 3. Meanwhile, cook egg noodles in a large pot of boiling salted water until tender, about 7 to 9 minutes; drain. 4. Remove beef stroganoff from heat; stir in sour cream until blended and heated through. Serve over hot egg noodles and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. ### From the Editor This recipe was tested in our test kitchen and updated to remove 1/2 cup mayonnaise.
