Readable Markdown	[Home](https://ag.idaho.gov/) Consumer Protection The Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division enforces various consumer laws, including Idaho’s Consumer Protection Act, Competition Act, Telephone Solicitation Act, and Charitable Solicitation Act. These laws protect consumers, businesses and the marketplace from unfair or deceptive acts and practices. The Attorney General seeks to fulfill the responsibilities of the office through public education, voluntary dispute resolution and enforcement of consumer-related laws and rules. Enforcement and defense of Idaho’s Master Settlement Agreement (MSA) with the tobacco industry also falls within the purview of the Consumer Protection Division’s delegated duties. The division enforces Idaho’s Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement Act, Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement Complementary Act and Prevention of Minors’ Access to Tobacco Act.
