Meanwhile, those who are from Singapore can travel to VTL countries without quarantine provided they meet each [VTL country’s specific requirements](https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/ph/travel-info/vaccinated-travel-lanes/). In late December 2021, at the height of the Omicron COVID-19 variant, Singapore suspended the sale of VTL tickets. The announcement of additional VTL countries came as the [Singapore Airshow](https://www.aerotime.aero/articles/30238-singapore-airshow-optimism-despite-pandemic), one of the most attended aviation networking events which was quieter than usual this year, concluded on the 18th of February 2022.
