Poll data shows 52% approve of his job, while 41% disapprove and 7% aren’t sure.\n“The most important detail though is that just 29% strongly approve and 32% strongly disapprove,” said Rasmussen to The National Desk’s Jan Jeffcoat. “This is the first time for President Biden that negative number, the 32% who strongly disapprove, is higher than the strong approval total.”\nAccording to Rasmussen, the dynamics of Biden’s approval ratings are very similar to the pattern through President Obama’s tenure.\n“When President Obama took office, and President Biden, they both had very good approval ratings on day one. They slipped a little bit ... by this time they were down a few points, and it was just about this time in 2009 that President Obama's strong disapproval topped his strong approval numbers,” said Rasmussen. “We don't know where it goes from here. We do know that with President Obama, his numbers continued to slide into the fall.”\nOne area of significant weakness for the Biden administration has been immigration and the situation at the U.S.-Mexico border.\n“50% of voters say that illegal immigration is a crisis,” said Rasmussen. “This is a challenge for the Biden administration because they don't want to see it as a crisis.”\nAccording to Rasmussen’s polling data, 70% of voters believe illegal immigration and border control are a national security issue, and 58% believe drug cartels have more control on the border than the U.S. government. When it comes to overall policy, Rasmussen found the number of voters who support Trump-like policies was much higher than the number who prefer a traditional Republican approach.\n“There are two to three times as many people who support Trump-like policies over traditional Republicans,” said Rasmussen. “What this means is the policy civil war within the Republican party is over   in terms of a Poll data shows 52% approve of his job, while 41% disapprove and 7% aren’t sure.\n\n“The most important detail though is that just 29% strongly approve and 32% strongly disapprove,” said Rasmussen to The National Desk’s Jan Jeffcoat. “This is the first time for President Biden that negative number, the 32% who strongly disapprove, is higher than the strong approval total.”\n\nAccording to Rasmussen, the dynamics of Biden’s approval ratings are very similar to the pattern through President Obama’s tenure.\n\n“When President Obama took office, and President Biden, they both had very good approval ratings on day one. They slipped a little bit ... by this time they were down a few points, and it was just about this time in 2009 that President Obama's strong disapproval topped his strong approval numbers,” said Rasmussen. “We don't know where it goes from here. We do know that with President Obama, his numbers continued to slide into the fall.”\n\nOne area of significant weakness for the Biden administration has been immigration and the situation at the U.S.-Mexico border.\n\n“50% of voters say that illegal immigration is a crisis,” said Rasmussen. “This is a challenge for the Biden administration because they don't want to see it as a crisis.”\n\nAccording to Rasmussen’s polling data, 70% of voters believe illegal immigration and border control are a national security issue, and 58% believe drug cartels have more control on the border than the U.S. government. When it comes to overall policy, Rasmussen found the number of voters who support Trump-like policies was much higher than the number who prefer a traditional Republican approach.\n\n“There are two to three times as many people who support Trump-like policies over traditional Republicans,” said Rasmussen. “What this means is the policy civil war within the Republican party is over in terms of a policy approach, there's no going back for the GOP to the former policies.”\n\n## Poll data shows 52% approve of his job, while 41% disapprove and 7% aren’t sure. “The most important detail though is that just 29% strongly approve and 32% strongly disapprove,” said Rasmussen to The National Desk’s Jan Jeffcoat. “This is the first time for President Biden that negative number, the 32% who strongly disapprove, is higher than the strong approval total.” According to Rasmussen, the dynamics of Biden’s approval ratings are very similar to the pattern through President Obama’s tenure. “When President Obama took office, and President Biden, they both had very good approval ratings on day one. They slipped a little bit ... by this time they were down a few points, and it was just about this time in 2009 that President Obama's strong disapproval topped his strong approval numbers,” said Rasmussen. “We don't know where it goes from here. We do know that with President Obama, his numbers continued to slide into the fall.” One area of significant weakness for the Biden administration has been immigration and the situation at the U.S.-Mexico border. “50% of voters say that illegal immigration is a crisis,” said Rasmussen. “This is a challenge for the Biden administration because they don't want to see it as a crisis.” According to Rasmussen’s polling data, 70% of voters believe illegal immigration and border control are a national security issue, and 58% believe drug cartels have more control on the border than the U.S. government. (AP Photo/Andrew Harnik) WASHINGTON (SBG) - President Joe Biden's approval rating has fallen to its lowest level since taking office, falling 4 percentage points from last month, according to a poll by Ballotpedia’s Scott Rasmussen. Poll data shows 52% approve of his job, while 41% disapprove and 7% aren’t sure. “The most important detail though is that just 29% strongly approve and 32% strongly disapprove,” said Rasmussen to The National Desk’s Jan Jeffcoat. “This is the first time for President Biden that negative number, the 32% who strongly disapprove, is higher than the strong approval total.” According to Rasmussen, the dynamics of Biden’s approval ratings are very similar to the pattern through President Obama’s tenure. “When President Obama took office, and President Biden, they both had very good approval ratings on day one. They slipped a little bit ... by this time they were down a few points, and it was just about this time in 2009 that President Obama's strong disapproval topped his strong approval numbers,” said Rasmussen. “We don't know where it goes from here. We do know that with President Obama, his numbers continued to slide into the fall.” One area of significant weakness for the Biden administration has been immigration and the situation at the U.S.-Mexico border. “50% of voters say that illegal immigration is a crisis,” said Rasmussen. “This is a challenge for the Biden administration because they don't want to see it as a crisis.” According to Rasmussen’s polling data, 70% of voters believe illegal immigration and border control are a national security issue, and 58% believe drug cartels have more control on the border than the U.S. government. When it comes to overall policy, Rasmussen found the number of voters who support Trump-like policies was much higher than the number who prefer a traditional Republican approach. “There are two to three times as many people who support Trump-like policies over traditional Republicans,” said Rasmussen. “What this means is the policy civil war within the Republican party is over in terms of a policy approach, there's no going back for the GOP to the former policies.”
