You can also do these steps for most water purifiers: Disassemble the filter: Remove the filter cartridge, membrane, and other parts of the filter that needs to be switched out. Rinse the filter and/or filter housing mechanism: If the filter is reusable, rinse under cold water to remove sediment or debris. For ceramic ones, you can use a soft brush to scrub the surface. Don’t forget to rinse out the housing system as well, to dislodge any trapped dirt. Soak and sanitise: Some reusable filters need to be soaked in water and mild bleach or vinegar to sanitise them.
