Step into the immersive marine world at Singaporeâs first and leading ocean institute. Previously known as the S.E.A. Aquarium, Singapore Oceanarium has undergone a massive facelift and tripled in size, making it one of the most exciting places of interest in Singapore for marine lovers and curious explorers. We spent almost two hours immersed in the experience, so weâd recommend you give yourself ample time to enjoy all the activities and interactions.
With marine education and conservation at its heart, it welcomes all who want to learn and do their part for the ocean. Look forward to 22 immersive zones, featuring new habitats, oceanic stories and interactive technology.
On our visit, we loved Ocean Wonders, home to one of the worldâs largest kreisel habitats and thousands of moon jellies. Our favourite was the Fried Egg Sea Jellies that looked just like their namesake. Another must-see is Open Ocean, where you can observe marine animals like manta rays and Indo-Pacific leopard sharks through an extensive viewing panel. Tip: take in the sights from varying angles to spot different species!
A slew of hands-on activities and programmes for all ages are in store, too. Join the Fossilist Workshop to learn all about fossils and get hands-on in an excavation activity, or go behind the scenes to witness the dedicated care needed for these marine animals. P.S. there are small F&B spots along the way, so you can pick up drinks and snacks before continuing your expedition.

Tip: take in the sights from varying angles to spot different species\!
A slew of hands-on activities and programmes for all ages are in store, too. Join the Fossilist Workshop to learn all about fossils and get hands-on in an excavation activity, or go behind the scenes to witness the dedicated care needed for these marine animals. ## Frequently Asked Questions
### What are the must-see attractions in Singapore?
Singapore is known for a wide array of attractions that cater to all interests. These include world-class shopping malls, wildlife parks, museums, cultural hotspots, heritage sites and more.
But if youâre pressed for time, here are the places we recommend you prioritise: Jewel Changi Airport; Gardens by the Bay; Marina Bay Sands; Sentosa; Singapore Botanic Gardens; National Gallery Singapore; as well as the heritage enclaves of Chinatown, Little India and Kampong Glam.
### How many days do I need for sightseeing in Singapore?
While you can get a taste of Singapore within two to three days, we recommend giving yourself at least five days to a week to experience its diverse offerings. This allows enough time to visit major attractions, explore different neighbourhoods, and enjoy the city's renowned culinary scene (hawker centres, coffee shops, cafes, restaurants and bars) without feeling rushed.
### What's the best time to visit Singapore outdoors?
As a tropical country, Singapore is hot and humid year-round with frequent rainfall. However, the dry season (from February to April) generally offers less rain, lower humidity and more sunshine, making it ideal for outdoor activities and sightseeing.
Even during the wet season (typically from November to January), rain comes in short, heavy bursts, so it rarely disrupts plans for an entire day. Pro tip: carry along an umbrella or raincoat for unforeseen wet weather, as well as a handheld fan to beat the heat\!
### How do I get around Singapore for sightseeing?
Singaporeâs public transport system is lauded as one of the best in the world, so you can be assured of its efficiency and affordability. Common modes of transport are via the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), an air-conditioned subway system; buses; as well as taxis and ride-sharing services via apps like Grab and Tada.
To use Singaporeâs MRT and bus services, you can purchase a stored-value card at any SimplyGo Ticket Office or convenience store (like 7-11 and Cheers); or a Singaporean Tourist Pass (a special stored-value card that can be bought at selected MRT stations offering unlimited travel for one, two or three days). Alternatively, use contactless bank cards and mobile wallets, but take note of any admin fees for foreign-issued bank cards. Cash and coins are also accepted on buses â do prepare the exact fare âcos no change will be given\!
As Singapore is a small city, many areas (especially within neighbourhoods like Chinatown and Kampong Glam) are best explored on foot. Put on comfy shoes to clock your steps.
### Is Singapore an expensive city to visit?
While Singapore is known for being one of the more expensive cities in Southeast Asia, you can manage your budget by opting for public transport, dining at hawker centres (with dishes from as affordable as \$3), and visiting free attractions. Think Orchard Road, Jewel Changi Airport and East Coast Park.

P.S. there are small F\&B spots along the way, so you can pick up drinks and snacks before continuing your expedition.
**Visit for:** Learning about and interacting with marine animals
**Price:** One-day tickets from \$42 per adult and \$35 per child
**Opening hours:** Daily, 10am to 7pm
**Address:** [Singapore Oceanarium](https://www.singaporeoceanarium.com/?utm_source=honeycombers&utm_medium=paid&utm_campaign=advertorial&utm_placement=website), Resorts World Sentosa, 24 Sentosa Gateway, Singapore 098137

Over at Scramble Net, test your agility as you scale nets, crawl through tunnels and swing from bars.
Next, take a thrilling ride down the 85m-long Black Hole slide, featuring newly added aqua lucent strips for pops of colour, or glide down the Double Trouble slide with a pal. If youâre up for more fun, head to the Laze pool. With a line-up of fun games daily, itâs your chance to engage in friendly competitions of tug-of-war and Captainâs Ball with your family and friends.
