They are not the team they once were and ironically, a player who isn't what he once was (Vini Jr) taught them that painful lesson.\nMan City are without a win in their last three games across all competitions. They are quite literally hitting rock bottom at a time when they needed to fly sky high.\nOf course, you can never rule out Man City in any game, let alone a cup final. They have a pretty good history in this competition, including matching Liverpool's run of most consecutive tournament wins (4).\nHowever, it's wild to say this, but Arsenal are probably the There isn't any game that's too big for Arsenal right now; playing the way they're playing, they can truly take on anyone.\n\nArsenal are not in danger, they are the danger.\n\nThe performance against Bayer Leverkusen was even more impressive because the pressure was immense. They were playing against a goalkeeper who turned into prime Gianluigi Buffon and Bayer Leverkusen had the main bulk of possession. Still, Arsenal found a way, and thanks to two wonderful goals (one from Rice himself, the other from Eberechi Eze), they progressed to the quarterfinal.\n\nArsenal fans would have felt relaxed watching that game. Sure, Bayer Leverkusen were impressive, but Arsenal had control of the game. They never looked like losing, and to be honest, that's been the case in most games this season.\n\n## Man City face Arsenal at the worst possible time\nMan City, on the other hand, had yet another reality check served to them. They are not the team they once were and ironically, a player who isn't what he once was (Vini Jr) taught them that painful lesson.\n\nMan City are without a win in their last three games across all competitions. They are quite literally hitting rock bottom at a time when they needed to fly sky high.\n\nOf course, you can never rule out Man City in any game, let alone a cup final. They have a pretty good history in this competition, including matching Liverpool's run of most consecutive tournament wins (4).\n\nHowever, it's wild to say this, but Arsenal are probably the favourites heading into this final. The midfielder has said that Arsenal will approach the Carabao Cup final this weekend against Man City with the same can-do approach. Speaking after the game, Declan Rice said "The lads are already talking about \[the Carabao Cup final against Man City\] in there, we’re excited, we’re ready. At the minute every game of football we go into, we believe we can win, so we’ll be ready and looking forward to it." ## Declan Rice is making Arsenal fans feel like something is coming It's great to hear Declan Rice say the players have belief, because that belief is finally seeping into the fanbase, too. There isn't any game that's too big for Arsenal right now; playing the way they're playing, they can truly take on anyone. Arsenal are not in danger, they are the danger. The performance against Bayer Leverkusen was even more impressive because the pressure was immense. They were playing against a goalkeeper who turned into prime Gianluigi Buffon and Bayer Leverkusen had the main bulk of possession. Still, Arsenal found a way, and thanks to two wonderful goals (one from Rice himself, the other from Eberechi Eze), they progressed to the quarterfinal. Arsenal fans would have felt relaxed watching that game. Sure, Bayer Leverkusen were impressive, but Arsenal had control of the game. They never looked like losing, and to be honest, that's been the case in most games this season. ## Man City face Arsenal at the worst possible time Man City, on the other hand, had yet another reality check served to them. They are not the team they once were and ironically, a player who isn't what he once was (Vini Jr) taught them that painful lesson. Man City are without a win in their last three games across all competitions. They are quite literally hitting rock bottom at a time when they needed to fly sky high. Of course, you can never rule out Man City in any game, let alone a cup final. They have a pretty good history in this competition, including matching Liverpool's run of most consecutive tournament wins (4). However, it's wild to say this, but Arsenal are probably the favourites heading into this final. The midfielder has said that Arsenal will approach the Carabao Cup final this weekend against Man City with the same can-do approach. Speaking after the game, Declan Rice said "The lads are already talking about \[the Carabao Cup final against Man City\] in there, we’re excited, we’re ready. At the minute every game of football we go into, we believe we can win, so we’ll be ready and looking forward to it." ## Declan Rice is making Arsenal fans feel like something is coming It's great to hear Declan Rice say the players have belief, because that belief is finally seeping into the fanbase, too. There isn't any game that's too big for Arsenal right now; playing the way they're playing, they can truly take on anyone. Arsenal are not in danger, they are the danger. The performance against Bayer Leverkusen was even more impressive because the pressure was immense. They were playing against a goalkeeper who turned into prime Gianluigi Buffon and Bayer Leverkusen had the main bulk of possession. Still, Arsenal found a way, and thanks to two wonderful goals (one from Rice himself, the other from Eberechi Eze), they progressed to the quarterfinal. Arsenal fans would have felt relaxed watching that game. Sure, Bayer Leverkusen were impressive, but Arsenal had control of the game. They never looked like losing, and to be honest, that's been the case in most games this season. ## Man City face Arsenal at the worst possible time Man City, on the other hand, had yet another reality check served to them. They are not the team they once were and ironically, a player who isn't what he once was (Vini Jr) taught them that painful lesson. Man City are without a win in their last three games across all competitions. They are quite literally hitting rock bottom at a time when they needed to fly sky high. Of course, you can never rule out Man City in any game, let alone a cup final. They have a pretty good history in this competition, including matching Liverpool's run of most consecutive tournament wins (4). However, it's wild to say this, but Arsenal are probably the favourites heading into this final.
