their opponents for the round of 16 of the Champions League and their potential route to the final.
The Gunners have been drawn against Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen in the next stage after Kasper Hjulmand's side overcame Olympiacos 2-0 on aggregate in the play-off round with the tie set to be played on Wednesday 11 March and Tuesday 17 March.
Not only did Mikel Arteta's side learn who they will take on in the last 16, they also learned who their potential opponents could be as they look to make it to just their second ever Champions League final.

Here's who Arsenal could face on their way to the Champions League final if they get the better of Bayer Leverkusen next month.
Quarter-finals
A meeting with either Sporting or Bodø/Glimt awaits if the Gunners make it to the last eight, with both being very favourable ties.
Arteta's side last met the Portuguese champions in last season's league phase as they came away from Lisbon with a dominant 5-1 victory with Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Magalhaes, Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard all getting on the scoresheet. An encounter with Rui Borges' side will mean a reunion with his former club for Gyökeres.
Arsenal have met Bodø/Glimt just twice previously, winning both encounters in the group stage of the 2022/23 Europa League. The home meeting was won 3-0 while the away tie was a tighter contest with the North Londoners managing a slender 1-0 triumph.
Semi-finals
The semi-finals is where it would get slightly harder for Arsenal, but they will still be rubbing their hands at the sight of their potential opponents in the last four.
It could be an all-Premier League semi-final with both Newcastle and North London rivals Tottenham on the same side of the draw. The Gunners won 2-1 at St James' Park earlier this season and will play the reverse fixture at home just days before the first leg of the semi-final.
Both derby meetings with Spurs have ended in dominant wins for Arteta's side this campaign. A 4-1 home win saw Eberechi Eze steal the headlines with a hat-trick while Leandro Trossard also found the back of the net. The number 10 was the hero once again in the away tie, scoring twice alongside Gyökeres, who also grabbed a brace in another 4-1 triumph.
The other two possible opponents hail from La Liga in the form of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. Barca have been familiar foes for Arsenal in Europe, winning six of their nine meetings, including the 2006 Champions League final. Their Spanish counterparts have not met the Gunners as often, but their last encounter came earlier this season with Arsenal romping to a 4-0 win at the Emirates Stadium.
Final
On the other side of the draw are some of Europe's best sides that will be just as eager as Arteta's side to get their hands on the Champions League trophy.
If Arsenal are to reach the final, they will face one of Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, Galatasaray, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Atalanta or Bayern Munich.
