But, with some simple techniques and the right tools, you’ll notice a whole new view. Steps on How to Keep Outside Windows Clean First, clean your windows on a cloudy day. The sun’s heat will make the water dry too quickly and leave unwanted spots on your windows. Second, use a squeegee. Rather than spraying on a glass cleaner and rubbing it around to remove the dirt, clean your windows using a two-step process. Apply cleanser and wash your windows with a cloth, then remove the residue using a squeegee. A larger squeegee blade is best for bigger windows.
