I’m sure that entire flying time you’ll keep engaged yourself with the awesome views of breathtaking mountains. After landing on Lukla and taking short rest, you’ll head towards Phakding by following the Dudh Koshi river and cross a suspension bridge. On the trail, you’ll see chorten, mani stone, and prayer flag. On this first day trial, you’ll start to view beautiful mountains like Karyolung, Nupla, and Gongla. You’ll take rest at several stops for a tea break or lunch break. Thamserku etc. After few hours of walks, trails take you to the hilltop village of Tengboche via rhododendron forested area. After climbing countless mani stones, first you’ll reach Pangboche. Again, the trail ascended and past Shomare and Orsho to Dingboche and here you’ll spend your night. Dingboche is famous for a summer settlement for yak grazing. On the way to Dingboche, you’ll see a lot of yaks grazing over a slope of the cliff. You’ll see different colorful prayer flags, Khagan Chorten, and a cemetery ground with hundreds of cairn memorials for those who died on the mountain. Again by following the Dudh Koshi river, you will encounter the tree line and return through the same trail. You’ll stop at a different place for a tea break and lunch break. You’ll again cross the suspension bridge and pass via rhododendron and pine forests. Here, you’ll get a perfect scenery of breathtaking mountain vistas. The trail continues via passing different Mani stone, Chorten, and Stupas. Then, you’ll reach Namche Bazaar and spend rest of the night. **Accommodation:** Basic Teahouse **Meals:** Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner **Trekking hours:** 6 hours Day 09 : Trek back to Lukla On the ninth day of your trek, you’ll back down to the small airstrip at Lukla, where you’ll catch your flight back to Kathmandu. Once you reach Lukla, you can celebrate your achievement and cherish your amazing journey. The company took care of everything, which made it for us very easy overall. We did the 3-day Poon Hill trek with a group of 4 together with our guide Shyam, who was just so kind and helpful. The trek itself was incredible. Nepal Eco made everything so easy and was very responsive on WhatsApp in the run up to the trip regarding all the questions we had, even when we had to change flights last minute due to cancellation. However, a special mention must go to Santosh and Degbardu who really made the trip special for us. Degbardu was great and so lovely, always had a great sense of humour and one of the strongest people I’ve seen. He would tell us what to eat/not to eat at the tea houses and advised that we shouldn’t eat meat after a certain elevation because it wasn’t fresh. He constantly checked in as to how we were feeling regarding the food and altitude and if we needed to take breaks. On one of the days, He even spotted a landslide before any of the other guides and kept everyone safe by getting everyone to safety. He truly went above and beyond the call of duty and always had a smile on his face. Overall, he completely allowed us to relax and enjoy the scenery/experience and we didn’t have to worry about anything other than getting from A to B everyday. We have been blown away by the service with Nepal Eco Adventures! They were incredibly quick and responsive before and during the trip over WhatsApp (especially when our flight was cancelled so we had to move our trip around suddenly). We felt we were properly informed and everything was made as easy as possible. We were really impressed by the professionalism, service and quick responses! Our guide, Santosh, was hands down the best guide we could have asked for! He is very experienced, caring and great fun and we felt very lucky to have him! He made the trek as comfortable as possible, was incredibly knowledgeable and made sure everything went smoothly. We luckily were fine with the altitude and Santosh took our blood oxygen levels each night so we knew we were in great hands if anything happened. He knows the trek incredibly well and made sure we were always happy and safe. Our Porter was also excellent and we appreciated him very much! This was a 5/5 experience from start to finish. Kumar was not only exceptionally knowledgeable but also genuinely kind, helpful, and great fun to be around. Throughout the trek, he shared so much insight into Sherpa culture, local traditions, and life in the Khumbu region. We especially appreciated learning about the meaning behind monasteries and prayer flags, as well as how the communities live and adapt at high altitude. He also taught us a lot about the mountains themselves — from identifying peaks along the route to explaining how the glaciers have changed over time. His awareness of the environment and the impacts of climate change made the experience even more meaningful, giving us a deeper appreciation of where we were trekking. On a practical level, Kumar was incredibly attentive. He always made sure we were safe, well-paced, and feeling good with the altitude, adjusting plans when needed and checking in on us regularly. Originally, our trip was planned for Annapurna Base Camp, but for some reasons, we decided to change our plan. They introduced this itinerary to us. After thinking about it for two days during the trek, we finally decided to choose this route after watching the sunrise at Poon Hill. My partner and I walk at quite different paces, but Ramesh still did his best to take care of both of us. The first day on the way to North Base Camp was a bit difficult for me, but Ramesh kindly helped carry my backpack for a while. When I had a headache, he checked on my condition, gave me proper suggestions, and arranged garlic soup for me, which helped me recover quickly by the next day. On the second day, we climbed to the campsite and enjoyed the lake view. On the morning of the third day, we trekked to North Base Camp, and it felt great to be there. It only took us one day to descend from our destination. The scenery was beautiful, and the duration of the trip was very suitable. It is definitely worth visiting at least once. Posted on Google   LS 28 March 2026   \+5 From the moment we reached out for information, to the moment we returned to our hotel in Pokhara, exhausted but still excited, the people at Nepal Eco Tours were awesome. Communication prior to the trip, getting price quotes, answering questions, all prompt and well explained. We did the 3D/2N Poon Hill Trek. Raj was our guide and Bhart was our porter. They made a great team letting us know what to expect and worked hard to make the trip super smooth. They knew just the right places to stop for a break or lunch, helped us order meals, made sure our packs were in our room, were very patient when we needed to rest, and Raj arranged for a Jeep for the last few miles of Day Three. The rhododendrons were in bloom and Raj and Bhart were very patient while we stopped to take tons of photos. The morning we climbed to Poon Hill was foggy, however, Raj knew the weather pattern and could tell it would clear soon. It did. Seeing the spectacular peaks in front of us was exhilarating, and the remaining mist only made the vistas even more beautiful. We have great memories of this trip.
