It is a relatively small country when compared with its neighbor Malaysia but there are umpteen tourist attractions in Singapore. Based on my travel in Singapore, I have created a list of the top 10 tourist attractions in Singapore which are a must do when you are in the iconic city.\n1. Merlion Park\nMerlion Park is one of the busiest tourist attractions in Singapore. It lies in the heart of the city. The Merlion statue resembles half lion + half fish. It is in the Marina Bay and the views from there are to die for. Best time to visit Merlion Park would be early in the morning before 7 am.\n2. Marina Bay Sands\nIt is a combination of a luxury hotel, mall for luxury stores and an observatory deck for tourists who do not stay in the Sands Hotel. It gives you the view of the iconic city in all its grandeur.\nBest time to visit the\nMarina Bay Sands Sky Park observatory\ndeck would be post 7 pm. I visited during the afternoon since I had a string of plans based on my baby’s sleep schedule. 😉\n3. Singapore Flyer\nOut of all the places I visited in Singapore, the\nflyer\nwas my favorite. The time capsule which explained the history of Singapore was so inspiring and the 30 mins of ride in the flyer capsule was more than magical.\nBest time to visit would be post 7 pm and that’s exactly what I did.\nYou can check out my\nblog post on Singapore Flyer\n.\n4. Gardens by the Bay\nIt is a horticulture themed garden sprawling across 101 hectares of land in the heart of Singapore. Gardens by the Bay is one of the must do’s in Singapore without a doubt. It also comprises of a flower dome and cloud forest. Entrance to Gardens by the Bay is free but the ticket for flower dome and cloud forest should be purchased separately or in a combo.\nAfter exploring\nGardens by the Bay\nduring the daytime, you might want to wait or come back from wherever you are, to see the spectacular light and sound show which happens post 7 pm.\n5. Singapore Zoo, Birds Paradise and River Wonders\nYour visit to Singapore cannot end without visiting one of the 3 Mandai Wildlife Reserve activities. If you are visiting the\nSingapore zoo\nthen you should keep at least 5-6 hours aside. Little India\nBeing from India, the moment I stepped into Singapore’s Little India, my feelings transported me back to my home nation. Suddenly I started hearing a lot of people speaking only in Tamil, there were temples, markets, eateries, the aroma. Little India is colorful and if you would like to do some Indian shopping then this is where you should head.\n7. China Town\nThe narrow roads, exotic smell of herbs, Buddha relic temple, the clothing, décor and traditional fares will transport you to China. Singapore’s China Town is about 4 km from Little India and not to be missed.\n8. Universal Studios\nYour visit to Singapore doesn’t complete before you visit the island built for fun and tourism – Sentosa. If you are in Sentosa you would have seen people posting pictures standing in front of the Universal Studios globe but there is more to it. Universal Studios in Singapore is an American theme park which has shows and games for adults and kids.\nNote:\nThis post contains some affiliate links which you can use to book. This is where you will find Singapore’s party animals and this place is always bustling with locals and tourists.\n10. Changi Rain Vortex\nChangi Rain Vortex is an indoor waterfall at Terminal 2 of the Changi airport. It will cast a spell on you during the days and nights. You will not want to miss this attraction as it is within the airport. It lies in the heart of the city. The Merlion statue resembles half lion + half fish. It is in the Marina Bay and the views from there are to die for. Marina Bay Sands\nIt is a combination of a luxury hotel, mall for luxury stores and an observatory deck for tourists who do not stay in the Sands Hotel. It gives you the view of the iconic city in all its grandeur.\n\nBest time to visit the [Marina Bay Sands Sky Park observatory](https:\/\/affiliate.klook.com\/redirect?aid=67512&aff_adid=888220&k_site=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.klook.com%2Fen-US%2Factivity%2F2501-marina-bay-sands-artscience-museum-singapore%2F) deck would be post 7 pm. Gardens by the Bay\nIt is a horticulture themed garden sprawling across 101 hectares of land in the heart of Singapore. Gardens by the Bay is one of the must do’s in Singapore without a doubt. It also comprises of a flower dome and cloud forest. Little India\nBeing from India, the moment I stepped into Singapore’s Little India, my feelings transported me back to my home nation. Suddenly I started hearing a lot of people speaking only in Tamil, there were temples, markets, eateries, the aroma. China Town\nThe narrow roads, exotic smell of herbs, Buddha relic temple, the clothing, décor and traditional fares will transport you to China. If you are in Sentosa you would have seen people posting pictures standing in front of the Universal Studios globe but there is more to it. You will not want to miss this attraction as it is within the airport. Merlion Park\nMerlion Park is one of the busiest tourist attractions in Singapore. It lies in the heart of the city. The Merlion statue resembles half lion + half fish. It is in the Marina Bay and the views from there are to die for. Marina Bay Sands\nIt is a combination of a luxury hotel, mall for luxury stores and an observatory deck for tourists who do not stay in the Sands Hotel. It gives you the view of the iconic city in all its grandeur.\n\nBest time to visit the [Marina Bay Sands Sky Park observatory](https:\/\/affiliate.klook.com\/redirect?aid=67512&aff_adid=888220&k_site=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.klook.com%2Fen-US%2Factivity%2F2501-marina-bay-sands-artscience-museum-singapore%2F) deck would be post 7 pm. China Town\nThe narrow roads, exotic smell of herbs, Buddha relic temple, the clothing, décor and traditional fares will transport you to China. It lies in the heart of the city. The Merlion statue resembles half lion + half fish. It is in the Marina Bay and the views from there are to die for. Marina Bay Sands It is a combination of a luxury hotel, mall for luxury stores and an observatory deck for tourists who do not stay in the Sands Hotel. It gives you the view of the iconic city in all its grandeur. The time capsule which explained the history of Singapore was so inspiring and the 30 mins of ride in the flyer capsule was more than magical. Best time to visit would be post 7 pm and that’s exactly what I did. Gardens by the Bay It is a horticulture themed garden sprawling across 101 hectares of land in the heart of Singapore. Gardens by the Bay is one of the must do’s in Singapore without a doubt. It also comprises of a flower dome and cloud forest. Entrance to Gardens by the Bay is free but the ticket for flower dome and cloud forest should be purchased separately or in a combo. China Town The narrow roads, exotic smell of herbs, Buddha relic temple, the clothing, décor and traditional fares will transport you to China. Readable Markdown	Singapore is one of the busiest countries in the world. It is a relatively small country when compared with its neighbor Malaysia but there are umpteen tourist attractions in Singapore. Based on my travel in Singapore, I have created a list of the top 10 tourist attractions in Singapore which are a must do when you are in the iconic city. ## 1\. Merlion Park Merlion Park is one of the busiest tourist attractions in Singapore. It lies in the heart of the city. The Merlion statue resembles half lion + half fish. It is in the Marina Bay and the views from there are to die for. Marina Bay Sands It is a combination of a luxury hotel, mall for luxury stores and an observatory deck for tourists who do not stay in the Sands Hotel. It gives you the view of the iconic city in all its grandeur. Singapore Flyer Out of all the places I visited in Singapore, the [flyer](https://affiliate.klook.com/redirect?aid=67512&aff_adid=888224&k_site=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.klook.com%2Fen-US%2Factivity%2F4534-singapore-flyer%2F) was my favorite. The time capsule which explained the history of Singapore was so inspiring and the 30 mins of ride in the flyer capsule was more than magical. Best time to visit would be post 7 pm and that’s exactly what I did. Gardens by the Bay It is a horticulture themed garden sprawling across 101 hectares of land in the heart of Singapore. Gardens by the Bay is one of the must do’s in Singapore without a doubt. It also comprises of a flower dome and cloud forest. Entrance to Gardens by the Bay is free but the ticket for flower dome and cloud forest should be purchased separately or in a combo. After exploring [Gardens by the Bay](https://affiliate.klook.com/redirect?aid=67512&aff_adid=888215&k_site=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.klook.com%2Fen-US%2Factivity%2F127-gardens-by-the-bay-singapore%2F) during the daytime, you might want to wait or come back from wherever you are, to see the spectacular light and sound show which happens post 7 pm. ![GardensByTheBaySGTop10Things](http://melangeoftales.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/GardensByTheBaySGTop10Things-2.jpg) ## 5\. Singapore Zoo, Birds Paradise and River Wonders Your visit to Singapore cannot end without visiting one of the 3 Mandai Wildlife Reserve activities. If you are visiting the [Singapore zoo](https://affiliate.klook.com/redirect?aid=67512&aff_adid=888221&k_site=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.klook.com%2Fen-US%2Factivity%2F141-singapore-zoo-singapore%2F) then you should keep at least 5-6 hours aside. The [River Wonders](https://affiliate.klook.com/redirect?aid=67512&aff_adid=922579&k_site=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.klook.com%2Fen-US%2Factivity%2F124-river-wonders-singapore-tickets%2F) and [Birds Paradise](https://affiliate.klook.com/redirect?aid=67512&aff_adid=888225&k_site=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.klook.com%2Fen-US%2Factivity%2F123-bird-paradise-singapore%2F) will take 2-3 hours each. Little India Being from India, the moment I stepped into Singapore’s Little India, my feelings transported me back to my home nation. Suddenly I started hearing a lot of people speaking only in Tamil, there were temples, markets, eateries, the aroma. China Town The narrow roads, exotic smell of herbs, Buddha relic temple, the clothing, décor and traditional fares will transport you to China. Universal Studios Your visit to Singapore doesn’t complete before you visit the island built for fun and tourism – Sentosa. If you are in Sentosa you would have seen people posting pictures standing in front of the Universal Studios globe but there is more to it. Changi Rain Vortex Changi Rain Vortex is an indoor waterfall at Terminal 2 of the Changi airport. It will cast a spell on you during the days and nights. You will not want to miss this attraction as it is within the airport.
