â and itâs more flavourful. What I love too, is that it seems fancy, but thereâs absolutely no fuss to making cold brewed coffee. You donât need special tools and youâll have the best tasting coffee, on-the-ready for the week. Let me show you how to make it:
A cold-brew is done by steeping the coffee grains in cold water for 8-12 hours. Itâs a rich concentrate, which you can then mix with your milk of choice and flavourings.
Iâve been brewing mine in a large Ball Mason Jar, but you can make it in a tupperware container or a plunger coffee maker.
With anything, quality ingredients will give you the best results â so get yourself some good,  fresh coffee grounds.

And then top it off with water. Youâll want to give it a good stir to get the coffee to sink in throughout.
Seal it and let it sit on the counter for 8-12 hours (overnight) and then youâre ready to strain out the coffee grains.
Now, letâs talk tools
If youâre using a coffee plunger, let it steep and then hit the plunger when youâre ready to strain. If youâve steeped it in a jar, like mine â then use a coffee filter or cheese-cloth and strainer. (
you may want to keep those grains for a body scrub
)
After you strain it,  keep the cold brew in an airtight container, in the fridge for 5 days to a week (if it lasts!)
Now, letâs talk flavourings.
My go-to has been a glass of ice, half cold brew, half almond milk and a tiny, tiny dash of maple syrup to sweeten. But, you are the leader of your ice-latte, so go with what you love.
Cold Brew Coffee Recipe
1 cup ground coffee
3 cups water
in a mason jar or coffee plunger â add the grounds and water
it can be a 3:1 ration or 4:1 ratio (water to coffee), depending on how strong you like it
cover the lid and let it steep at room temperature for 8-12 hours
strain out the grounds
keep your cold brew in an air-tight container
Lasts 5 days in the fridge
I really hope you give this recipe a go. Youâll love how simple it is to make, and how amazing it tastes! If you havenât tried a cold-brew yet, I think youâll be surprised at how smooth it is!

\[âŚ\] you think? Next time youâre grocery shopping, pick up some coconut milk powder. Itâs excellent in coffee as a dairy replacement, in soup and green smoothies â and of course on your skin! Inside and out \[âŚ\]
