This isn’t just a group of cosplayers getting together; the World Cosplay Championship is also held. There you’ll see cosplayers battling head-to-head to be crowned the best cosplayers in the world. But if you are not taking part in the competition on Saturday, there are still plenty of things to see and do, such as photo spots, stage performances, and a gigantic cosplay parade from Osu Kannon Temple on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. See the Best of Japan with Trip To Japan Unlock a curated 10-day loop through Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, and Osaka. Authentic stays, iconic sights, and easy travel—all in one signature package. Customize and book all in one go. ## Tickets General ticket sales start at 10 a.m. on June 14. All events are free for non-cosplayers, except if you want to see the World Cosplay Championship on Saturday. Theatre seats cost between ¥3,000 and ¥10,000. ## Cosplay You will either be required to change in your own designated changing area (such as at home or in a car) or there will also be changing areas on site. Either way, you will need to purchase a participation ticket and go to the reception desk on the day. There are some [detailed rules](https://worldcosplaysummit.jp/en/cosplay/rule) about what you can and cannot wear, plus where photographs are allowed to be taken. ### Cosplayer and photographer tickets If you don’t need to use the changing room, tickets cost ¥1,000 for the Friday evening festival or ¥3,000 for all day Saturday or Sunday — this is the same price for photographers too. A combined ticket for both days costs ¥5,500. If you need to use the changing room, it will cost around ¥500 more depending on [the time](https://worldcosplaysummit.jp/en/ticket/cosplay) you wish to enter and the type of room you’d like (there are more spacious options for those with elaborate costumes). ## How to get there The event takes place in public areas. This means that areas in and around Oasis 21 will become the stage for attending cosplayers. The Championship will take place in [Aichi Arts Center](https://japancheapo.com/place/aichi-arts-center/). Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
