Pasir Ris Park\nFuss-free and fun-packed are what it’s all about at Pasir Ris Park, and with playgrounds for kids of all ages, an enormous mangrove trail, water activities galore and even the chance to try a spot of\nhorse riding\n, camping overnight will extend the adventure pitch perfectly. You’ll need a \ncamping permit\nbefore you head to the sea-view camping sites in areas 1-3, which permits a maximum camp time of four days per month.\n2. East Coast Park\nWe all know that\nEast Coast Park makes a great family day out\n, so why not extend the fun to an overnight trip? But before you pack up your sleeping bag and marshmallows for toasting, make sure you\napply online for a camping permit through NParks\n. Once you have the official stuff dealt with, head over to areas D or G of the park and set up your family base for a back-to-basics kinda adventure, full of sandcastle building, BBQ dinners,\nadventure playgrounds\nand water sport activities: and that’s just for starters!\n3. West Coast Park\nHead to the wilds of the west for a family camping trip that’s low in cost but big on fun when you pitch a tent at\nWest Coast Park\n. Kids will be nicely worn out for a peaceful night under canvas after running riot around the eight playgrounds dotted about the park. We’re talking a spiderweb maze, Ninja Warrior style obstacle courses and even a flying fox. If that doesn’t tire the little campers out, then we don’t know what will! Once your application has been approved, head to Jelutong, Mamam or Ubin Living Lab campsites to pitch your tent for the night. Prepare to be a tad stinky by the time you return though: there are toilet facilities around the campsites, but no showers! We’re pretty sure the kiddos won’t care… And what it lacks in washing facilities, it defo makes up for with a peaceful kampong style life.\n5. Pulau Hantu (still suspended)\nAnother offshore island that you can pitch your tent at is Pulau Hantu, which translates to ghost island in Malay. Comprising of two islets, Hantu Besar and Hantu Kecil, this is the camping site to check out if you’re looking to get away from the city. Go snorkelling in the reefs and observe marine life up close, take a dip and swim across the two islands during low tide, or just enjoy the tranquillity with a stroll along the shore. There are no convenience stores here (it is a secluded island, after all) so be sure to get everything you need beforehand. Whilst we’re totally on board with the idea of sleeping under canvas on a [family-friendly glamping holiday](https://honeykidsasia.com/glamping-in-asia-holiday-in-the-great-outdoors-in-comfort-and-style/), our kids have been pitching the idea of a more rustic overnight trip: camping in Singapore! Yep, our little [Scouts and Girl Guides](https://honeykidsasia.com/popular-ccas-for-kids-in-singapore/) are twisting our arms to persuade us to head outdoors on an alfresco camping trip where nature is our neighbour, and campfire tunes are our game. Now that camping is (finally) back on again in Singapore, we can’t wait to get cosy together under the stars again! We’ve found the camping sites around Singapore where the whole family can pitch a tent for a weekend packed with adventure… ## Where to go camping in Singapore with kids ### 1\. Pasir Ris Park Fuss-free and fun-packed are what it’s all about at Pasir Ris Park, and with playgrounds for kids of all ages, an enormous mangrove trail, water activities galore and even the chance to try a spot of [horse riding](https://honeykidsasia.com/pony-riding-horse-riding-and-horse-riding-in-singapore/), camping overnight will extend the adventure pitch perfectly. You’ll need a [camping permit](https://e-station.axs.com.sg/NParks_Camping/Internet/index.php) before you head to the sea-view camping sites in areas 1-3, which permits a maximum camp time of four days per month. ### 2\. But before you pack up your sleeping bag and marshmallows for toasting, make sure you [apply online for a camping permit through NParks](https://e-station.axs.com.sg/NParks_Camping/Internet/index.php). Once you have the official stuff dealt with, head over to areas D or G of the park and set up your family base for a back-to-basics kinda adventure, full of sandcastle building, BBQ dinners, [adventure playgrounds](https://honeykidsasia.com/east-coast-park-ecp-singapore/) and water sport activities: and that’s just for starters\! ### 3\. West Coast Park Head to the wilds of the west for a family camping trip that’s low in cost but big on fun when you pitch a tent at [West Coast Park](https://honeykidsasia.com/west-coast-park/). Kids will be nicely worn out for a peaceful night under canvas after running riot around the eight playgrounds dotted about the park. We’re talking a spiderweb maze, Ninja Warrior style obstacle courses and even a flying fox. If that doesn’t tire the little campers out, then we don’t know what will! Don’t forget to [apply for your permit](https://e-station.axs.com.sg/NParks_Camping/Internet/index.php) before you set up camp at Area 3, and [book a BBQ pit](https://e-station.axs.com.sg/NParks/Internet_Payment/index.php) too if you fancy flexing your outdoor cooking skills. ### 4\. We love spending as much time as possible at one of our favourite pockets of green, [Pulau Ubin](https://honeykidsasia.com/pulau-ubin-guide/). So we are always on board for a night or two under the stars listening to the sounds of wild boar and resident macaques. [Apply for a permit](https://www.nparks.gov.sg/-/media/nparks-real-content/gardens-parks-and-nature/parks-and-nature-reserve/pulau-ubin/documents/application-for-use-of-premises-on-pulau-ubin-22032017.pdf?la=en&hash=3749D2342C18059FD2FA60E5C7BAFB58A92DE53E) and submit it to [NParks\_pulau\_ubin@nparks.gov.sg](mailto:NParks_pulau_ubin@nparks.gov.sg) at least two weeks in advance. Once your application has been approved, head to Jelutong, Mamam or Ubin Living Lab campsites to pitch your tent for the night. Prepare to be a tad stinky by the time you return though: there are toilet facilities around the campsites, but no showers! We’re pretty sure the kiddos won’t care… And what it lacks in washing facilities, it defo makes up for with a peaceful kampong style life. ### 5\. Pulau Hantu (still suspended) Another offshore island that you can pitch your tent at is Pulau Hantu, which translates to ghost island in Malay. Comprising of two islets, Hantu Besar and Hantu Kecil, this is the camping site to check out if you’re looking to get away from the city. Go snorkelling in the reefs and observe marine life up close, take a dip and swim across the two islands during low tide, or just enjoy the tranquillity with a stroll along the shore. There are no convenience stores here (it is a secluded island, after all) so be sure to get everything you need beforehand. You’ll have to obtain a [camping permit](https://app1.sla.gov.sg/TOL/Account/Login?ReturnUrl=%2Ftol%2F) at least seven days before your trip as well as arrange for a fast work boat from Marina South Pier or West Coast Pier to ferry you to the island. ## Where to buy camping supplies in Singapore ### 1\. We love spending as much time as possible at one of our favourite pockets of green, [Pulau Ubin](https://honeykidsasia.com/pulau-ubin-guide/). So we are always on board for a night or two under the stars listening to the sounds of wild boar and resident macaques. Once your application has been approved, head to Jelutong, Mamam or Ubin Living Lab campsites to pitch your tent for the night. Prepare to be a tad stinky by the time you return though: there are toilet facilities around the campsites, but no showers! We’re pretty sure the kiddos won’t care… And what it lacks in washing facilities, it defo makes up for with a peaceful kampong style life. ### 5\. Pulau Hantu (still suspended) Another offshore island that you can pitch your tent at is Pulau Hantu, which translates to ghost island in Malay. Comprising of two islets, Hantu Besar and Hantu Kecil, this is the camping site to check out if you’re looking to get away from the city. Go snorkelling in the reefs and observe marine life up close, take a dip and swim across the two islands during low tide, or just enjoy the tranquillity with a stroll along the shore. There are no convenience stores here (it is a secluded island, after all) so be sure to get everything you need beforehand. You’ll have to obtain a [camping permit](https://app1.sla.gov.sg/TOL/Account/Login?ReturnUrl=%2Ftol%2F) at least seven days before your trip as well as arrange for a fast work boat from Marina South Pier or West Coast Pier to ferry you to the island. ## Where to buy camping supplies in Singapore ### 1\.
