CMHC Hours CMHC main is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday-Friday. CMHC @ WCP is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday from noon to 5 p.m. Additionally, the CMHC offers various 24/7 services. This includes the 24/7 Crisis Line (512-471-2255), which offers immediate crisis counseling and TimelyCare, a virtual mental health and well-being platform offering round-the-clock support through TalkNow. Making an Appointment CMHC Main New clients must first complete the Brief Assessment and Referral Process, which involves a 15-minute phone call to ensure you are matched with the most suitable service for your needs. Returning clients will work with their clinician to book future appointments after their initial session. Appointments are scheduled through the MyUHS/CMHC portal. CMHC @ WCP Online scheduling is available for the current week, and appointments are made through the MyUHS/CMHC portal. Cost of Services CMHC services are free. Psychiatry services are $15/visit. The CMHC does not bill insurance. Number of Clinical or Psychiatric Sessions The number of sessions provided varies for each client. Clients receive the number of sessions that are most appropriate for their current mental health needs and resources, including transportation, health insurance, and other factors. For more information on receiving clinical or psychiatric services, call 512-471-3515, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. External Clinicians You may be referred to an external clinician after completing the Brief Assessment and Referral process. Our case management team will assist you with referrals to external providers. Parents Accessing CMHC Records Anyone who has access to your UT EID and password will have access to your mental health records. See the mental health records page for information on important privacy considerations. Appointment Wait Time CMHC Main Same-day crisis appointments are available. For non-crisis appointments, the wait time depends on your needs and the current workload of the clinical team. On average, scheduled appointments take place within 1-2 weeks of booking. CMHC @ WCP Same-day walk-in single-session counseling with online scheduling available for the current week.
