What You Will Need ā¤ļø
Heres what you will need to make this delicious gluten free banana bread.
Flour:
Use
Bobās Red Mill
WheatĀ Free, Gluten-free, Dairy-Free, 1 to 1 baking flour. I love it because you basically replace all-purpose flour with this all purpose flour.
Bananas:
When baking with bananas always go for ripe bananas becauseĀ the sugar content in them is moreĀ concentratedĀ they are ripe.
Butter:
Use the best quality butter you can. Replace with shortening or avocado oil for dairy free.
Sugar:
Granulated sugar works perfectly but can also be replaced with light brown sugar if desired. I only used 1/2 a cup of sugar because the bananas are naturally sweet.
Optional Mix-Ins
This gluten-free banana bread is such a great base recipe. Sometimes I like to add in some chocolate chips toĀ jazzĀ things! You can add in different mix-ins to make or enjoy it as is. You can add 1/2 cup of the following:
Chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
Chopped walnuts or pecans
Blueberries, strawberries or chopped pineapple
brown sugar and cinnamon swirl
Coconut flakes
Bobās Red Mill Gluten Free 1 to 1 Baking Flour
Bobās Red Mill has created a special 1-to-1 blend of gluten free flours, starches and xanthan gum, making it easy to transform traditional cookies, cakes, brownies, muffins and pancakes into gluten free treats.
How to Make Gluten Free Banana Bread
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and lightly grease a 9Ć5 inch loaf pan. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt, set aside.
In a separate bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Stir in eggs, milk, vanilla, and mashed bananas until well blended. Add in the dry mixture along with your favorite add ins.
Gently stir until just combined then pour batter into your prepared loaf pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 50 to 55 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Let bread cool in pan for at least 15 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool another 30 minutes before slicing! Serve warm and enjoy.
Helpful Tip
If your bananas are not yet brown or soft then you can place them in a 300F degree oven for 20 minutes or until dark brown. I swear this method will produce the ripest bananas that are perfect for banana bread.

Itās a great bread, I used five ripe bananasā and for some reason it doesnāt taste like banana at all. The bread holds itself well and doesnāt crumble like youād expect gluten free bread to. I used margarine because we didnāt have butter and I also used almond milk, because my fam canāt have lactose. In addition, we didnāt have baking powder so I used a tsp of Trader Joeās ube mochi pancake mix because I was thinking it had some in there. It puffed up well and was a beautiful golden. My uncle really enjoyed it\!

This may be the best banana bread Iāve ever had. I added some chopped walnuts and a sprinkle of salt on top, but otherwise itās exactly as the recipe says. Iāll definitely be saving this recipe.

This recipe is delicious and forgiving. I only had a little over 1C Bobās RM All Purpose GF flour, so I used oat flour and a little coconut flour to make the 2nd cup. I used a little less than the half cup of sugar. I added in plenty of raisins. Could not find a load pan so used a 9Ć13 glass pan and checked before the 50m were up. Having the hint about it being done when center reached 200 F was \_very\_ helpful ā Thank you\!

It is in the oven now. The batter was yummy! I added a few shakes of cinnamon and a few pinches of nutmeg. I would volunteer a few edits to the instructions. If you are to add the dry mix to the wet then would it not be advisable to mix the wet ingredients in the large bowl and the dry in āas seperate bowlā rather than the other way around? Also, I ācreamedā the butter and sugar by hand in āa seperate bowlā but in hindsight it may have mix more effectively if a stand mixer had been suggested. It all smoothed out into a lovely batter in the end so it may be inconsequential but just a thought.

Iāve used this recipe for years now and it is one of my favorites and one of my family favorites. I love this gluten-free banana bread. I typically reduce the sugar to 1/3 a cup and allocate the chocolate chips to just half the bread (sissy is the only one in family who eats the chocolate chip side).

Made a double batch. Baked half the batter in a loaf pan and the other half in a silicone muffin pan. I subbed the white sugar with coconut sugar and used coconut oil to make it dairy free. I love the rise on this batter and the taste is amazing.

I made it with flax eggs last night. It came out delicious, but it had to cook longer, with cover on top toward the end for flax eggs, you just mix 1 tablespoon of flaxseed with one and a half tablespoons of water and let it sit for five minutes. I doubled that for this recipe

I made this for the first time and let me just say it is amazing. It turned out moist and delicious. I had to use some King Arthurās with the Bobās redmill as I didnāt have enough but it still turned out wonderfully. I let the batter sit for about 10 minutes before baking so the flour could absorb some of the moisture and when done it was not gritty at all like other recipes.

I omitted all added sugar. The sweetness of the bananas was enough. I let the batter sit in a pan for 20 min to hydrate the flour. Turned out amazing.

I substituted 1 1/2c Almond Flour, and 1/2c Coconut flour for Red Mill.
Iāve made this a half doz times, and itās always a bit too moist.
So i decided to look at comments. 1 thing I discovered is to bake longer,
at 325, or maybe just longer at 350.
I thought the substitute flour suggestion came from you, but upon further
investigation, iām not sure where i got that.
I put it back in the oven, and baked some moreā¦still a bit moist.
Is my problem the flour choice? Should i get some Red Mill?
Everyone seems to have great results. Thank you\!

This is the second time Iāve made this bread! The first time I followed it to the āTā and it was absolutely perfectāso perfect that it didnāt last very long! This time..aka tonight..I was feeling a bit under the weather while baking and realized as I was putting the batter in the pans ( I made three loaves) that I forgot the BUTTER! oof! So I did the whole shebang of mixing and adding, and popped those babies in the oven.
The loaves rose a good bit, the house smelled amazing and upon the first bite, I realized I forgot the sugar too! ha! Baking while ill is quite a challenge! I gave everyone a bite and they still loved it! No sugar except for all the ripe bananaās and it was delicious! If someone is trying to cut sugar or doesnt want to add itāgive it a try\!

I love this recipe but I am having an issue with the center of the bread cooking. It is still raw dough. I have made it three times and have the same issue. The fourth time, I baked in 8Ć8 pan. I then cut around the outside and removed that part of the bread (by the way the best I have ever tasted ā perfect) and then put the center cut back into the oven for another 20 minutes. It is by no means a perfect solution but none of the bread was over cooked this way. Any ideas of what I might be doing wrong?

Got my new SAKI bread maker and wanted to find a REALLY good gluten free banana bread recipe and came across yours\!
The recipe looked simple enough so I whipped it up and added a few substitutions like using coconut sugar instead of white sugar, earth balance butter and oat milk to make it dairy free also added a cup of Fishers honey roasted chopped pecans and used measure for measure King Arthur GF flour along with a few good shakes of cinnamon and all spice. After I put it in the bread maker held my breath and waited lol. It rose up beautifully and ended up taking a good hour and 10 minutes to fully cook through because it was being cooked in a bread maker instead of an oven, the smells wafted through the house and when it was finally done I couldnāt wait for it to cool down to see how it tasted lol. The wait was worth it though because AS SOON as I bit into the spongey moist just sweet enough cake like texture I knew that it was a CLEAR WINNER!\!
Relieved and BEYOND Happy with how it turned out, we brought it over our friends house for dessert and them and their kids.. and everyone absolutely LOVED IT!! It was a hit! and at the end there were only crumbs left! Lol Definitely my go to GF banana bread from now on. Turned out so perfectly sweet, nutty, moist and light\!
I actually have more bananas to use up! So am planning on making another batch and doubling the recipe since it can hold a 3 lb loaf š¤ššš
Finally an Easy breezy recipe for truly THE BEST Gluten Free Banana bread you will ever eat
If I could name how good and true this recipe is, it would be.. PERFECTION!!š„°

Great! I use vegan bitters in this. Still perfect. 1/4tsp xanthan gum for texture. 1-bowl mix method starts with the bananas and ends with the flour & chocolate for ease and fewer dishes.

Excellent recipe! My home smells amazing! I followed the recipe using 5 over ripe bananas and KAF GF. I was worried that the batter would not fit in my baking loaf pan, that I would have to split it but decided to trust the process which baked into one large gorgeous loaf. I topped the loaf with extra chocolate chips. My family was very pleased! GF or not, this is a delicious recipe! Would highly recommend this recipe especially on cozy mornings! Thank you\!

I love this recipe. I have made it many many times. It is so yummy and my whole family enjoys it. Last year, I started making banana muffins with it. I bake them for 25 minutes and they are perfect. Really cuts down on baking time. Also, I use walnuts instead of chocolate chips. These are a real crowd pleaser\!

If you use the multiplier for 2 or 3 loaves the recipe increases the number of bananas to use but \*not\* the cups that makes. All three versions call for only 1 1/2 cups of mashed bananas, which will make a disappointing bread if you only go by that.

First time making gluten free banana bread. I used walnuts in place of chocolate chips. It came out perfect. My mother-in-law says that itās heavenly. Those of you having issues with it. I whisked by hand my dry ingredients. Use unsalted butter. Make sure that your butter is room temperature along with your eggs and milk. I heated my milk in a small sauce pan. Put eggs into very warm tap water in a bowl to warm them up quicker. Cut your stuck butter as it warms up quicker. You want the butter to squish a little bit under your finger. I used my stand mixer to blend my wet ingredients then poured it into my dry mixture. I used a small spatula to mix it together. It turned out great. It wonāt last long in my house.

I like your detail. You are a baker\!
Room temperature is so important. I used to think room temp butter was very soft. If you use very soft butter, so much can go wrong. Especially in cookies. Room temperature butter means 65-68 degrees F. Game changer for me. I even take the temp. So worth it.

Hi Joana
I plan to add ground flaxseed to my bread too. I also want to add ground hempseed. I assume that you mean 1/2 CUP of flax and oats. In essence, the hempseed would replace the oats you add. Iām wondering if you think my options would be any issue, and would I also add 1/2 cup of each? Finally, do you personally, add any other or more liquid due to the addition of one cup extra dry ingredients? Iād be grateful if you donāt mind helping me. I donāt want to ruin my breads.
Thank you so much!!!\!

After they cool, I wrap āem and freeze āem. I keep mini loaves in the freezer to have when guests drop by. They are great with a side of fruit. Thanks for posting this amazing gf recipe\!

Can this be made successfully in a gluten free bread machine (my machine has a gluten free setting)? I would love it if it could. What would I need to change/alter to get it to work in my Pohl+Schmitt bread machine. It tastes amazing and I love it. Amazingly good!! I even think itās better than my regular non GF banana bread! I did make a few adjustments. I used 1/4 cup white sugar and 1/4 cup packed brown sugar, 1 tsp vanilla (I actually measured with my heart), and added 1 tsp cinnamon. I baked it in 3 mini loaf pans for 30-35 minutes . My neighbor and sister both said it was the best banana bread ever! I used the Bobs red mill flour suggested in the recipe.

This recipe turned out great! One thing Iāve found with GF baked goods is they donāt store as long (or need to be kept in the fridge etc.) as non gf things. I donāt think this particular loaf will last very long but do you have a guideline for storage?
Also, for anyone that needs to let it cook longer, I have a Wilton 12X4 loaf pan that is my new favorite because the volume is the same as a 9X5 but the longer/thinner shape helps the bread cook faster. My mom had no use for it so her trash is my favorite new banana bread pan :).

## What You Will Need ā¤ļø
Heres what you will need to make this delicious gluten free banana bread.
**Flour:** Use [Bobās Red Mill](https://amzn.to/3W7jG84) Wheat Free, Gluten-free, Dairy-Free, 1 to 1 baking flour. I love it because you basically replace all-purpose flour with this all purpose flour.
**Bananas:** When baking with bananas always go for ripe bananas because the sugar content in them is more concentrated they are ripe.
**Butter:** Use the best quality butter you can. Replace with shortening or avocado oil for dairy free.
**Sugar:** Granulated sugar works perfectly but can also be replaced with light brown sugar if desired. I only used 1/2 a cup of sugar because the bananas are naturally sweet.
## Optional Mix-Ins
This gluten-free banana bread is such a great base recipe. Sometimes I like to add in some chocolate chips to jazz things! You can add in different mix-ins to make or enjoy it as is. You can add 1/2 cup of the following:
- Chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
- Chopped walnuts or pecans
- Blueberries, strawberries or chopped pineapple
- brown sugar and cinnamon swirl
- Coconut flakes

## How to Make Gluten Free Banana Bread

## Helpful Tip
If your bananas are not yet brown or soft then you can place them in a 300F degree oven for 20 minutes or until dark brown. I swear this method will produce the ripest bananas that are perfect for banana bread.
