Thank you. when I select new item, there is a drop-down menu for type of item. Which do i use for a website?

I have read the link. the only website information refers to linking to website. I need to cite a website as a reference but am not sure how to enter it.

Note:
Since it's almost always better to visit a webpage in your browser and use the “Save to Zotero” button, the Web Page item type is not included in the “New Item” menu. However, if you really want to create a webpage item by hand, you create an empty item of another type and switch the item type to Web Page in the right-hand pane.

I have not been able to download the connector, so have to resort to entering all my referenecs manually.

Meaning what? The Connector is a fundamental part of Zotero.

When I follow the link to import connector, the page does not give me a way to download. It appears to be the Google web store without a method for downloading it.

I will try your method suggested.

The Chrome Web Store is where you install Chrome extensions. There's an "Add to Chrome" button the page. That's what you want to use — not manual adding.
