If so, try gently stretching them. I usually wear them around the house with socks intead of tights (or 2 pairs, if I usually wear them with one). someone else on here has recommended tieing a knot in a bag filled with water and fitting it into the shoe - then putting the shoe in the freezer - as the water freezes it will expand and stretch the leather. If it's not that they are too tight then you could try wearing a plaster over your heel, where it would normally rub, and do this for a week or so until the heels have naturally worn and become more flexible. annie 0 - [![SnowyOwl\_2](https://us-noi.v-cdn.net/6031891/uploads/defaultavatar/nFA7H6UNOO0N5.jpg)](https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/profile/SnowyOwl_2 "SnowyOwl_2") [SnowyOwl\_2](https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/profile/SnowyOwl_2) Posts: **5,257** **Forumite** ![1,000 Posts](https://us-noi.v-cdn.net/6031891/uploads/badges/ZQYW9S8SKWXE.png) ![Combo Breaker](https://badges.v-cdn.net/svg/combo-breaker.svg) [11 May 2006 at 4:32PM](https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/2131551/#Comment_2131551) A good rub of Vaseline into the areas that cause pain (inside of the shoe of course), this should soften them up. 0 - [![bektoria](https://us-noi.v-cdn.net/6031891/uploads/defaultavatar/nFA7H6UNOO0N5.jpg)](https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/profile/bektoria "bektoria") [bektoria](https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/profile/bektoria) Posts: **120** **Forumite** [11 May 2006 at 6:00PM](https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/2131886/#Comment_2131886) Have you tried soap ? I dont think I have EVER owned a pair of shoes that don't feel like I've got a carving knife sliding up and down my heel for the first couple of weeks. The vaseline works OK. The other thing to do is just wear them around the house at first to get used to them. Your feet have got to mould to a different shape so it takes time. And the other way is to wear them and grit your teeth. It will take about a week for your feet to get used to the shoes that way. **2008 Comping Challenge** Won so far - £3010 Needed - £230 Debt free since Oct 2004 0 - [![louB\_5](https://us-noi.v-cdn.net/6031891/uploads/defaultavatar/nFA7H6UNOO0N5.jpg)](https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/profile/louB_5 "louB_5") [louB\_5](https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/profile/louB_5) Posts: **249** **Forumite** [11 May 2006 at 8:47PM](https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/2132820/#Comment_2132820) I'm sat here reading this thread nursing two sore heels!
